A long awaited discussion for book 3 on your channel. Hurrah! 🎉
@deathbyliche1745
Great discussion! I actually liked this book more than Red Seas. I felt the pacing was much better, and loved meeting Sabetha and getting more time with Calo, Galdo, and Father Chains.
@olis5233
That ending with the Falconer has me so excited for more - great discussion video!
@PhilipChaseTheBestofFantasy
You all have me itching to do a Gentleman Bastard reread! Thank you for the great discussion!
@WeAreIndividuals
I love the flashback. The main story I thought needed way more shenanigans
@TalkingTorah613
Much needed discussion

I've been looking forward to this! Wanted to get your take on book 3 since I finished it early last year 😁

I’ve been looking forward to this discussion but been in a book slump and haven’t read it yet. I’ll be back in a month or so to gush asynchronously. ❤🎉
@nazimelmardi
We are back for Gentlemen’s Bastards video aka Merphy hype! By now pretty sure this book will appear on Merphy’s desk first it’s so hardly manifested. 💪

It’s been almost two years since I finished Republic of Thieves and this discussion sort of reminded me how much I adore Lynch as a writer. He does his research and his writing is just so captivating to me. It is stylistic but still accessible. At this time, it’s my favorite fantasy series (other than Berserk). Keep in mind the only other fantasy reading I’ve done is disc world, LOTR, and a bit of first law. There’s just such a great tension to these book. Also, he masterfully combines brutality, grit, and humor while maintaining a consistent tone. It has a pirates of the Caribbean vibe, which I love. Dang. I might have to reread it.

Love that this discussion is out!
@Smooby_Dooperson
Have you considered reading Fourth Wing ??? My fiancé is wanting to know your thoughts on it 😂😂😂
@jackson5802
I've never been sadder finishing this book a week or two ago because I just miss being in this world with these characters so if anyone knows any books with these EXACT vibes I'm very open to suggestions
@VenturesBeyond
I have never read past the first one... so maybe I shouldn't be here, but I love the discussion too much to stay away!
@lilydonahue2113
Could the child be Bug? Maybe the prophecy didnt just mean future events
@mauni9324
*Spoiler for book 1*?
@DefinitelyNotAnUndercoverCop
Lol I'm one of the people that hated Sabetha. Honestly they're terrible for each other and their relationship is toxic. The reason I hate her is because I love Locke and if I spent the story with Sabetha and we came acroy Locke I'd probably hate him lol
@LlamaNL
i despise the flashbacks in this book. Locke is such a pathetic whiner in it that i keep wanting to throw the book (or my ereader) across the room when he goes in on Sabetha. (might have something to do with how my first exposure was a listen and the reader made him sound extra whiny)
@mndrew1
Not a bad book, but my least favorite. Could have done without all the CW high-school drama in the flashbacks.
