Today, you will learn a trick on how to solve a question involving a square and a circle; A GEOMETRIC TRICK. We find out that part of the diameter of the circle is the length of the square and the diameter of the circle passed through the midpoint of the square covering its length. This is a trick to relate the diameter of the circle with the length of the square.And by locating the center and joining the center point to the right vertex of the square, we found a right triangle with derived side lengths. Using PYTHAGORA´S THEOREM, We obtained the radius, R which we multiply by 2 to get the required Diameter of the circle. To solve for the perimeter of the square, we use the relationship between the side length of the square and the radius, R of the circle to get the length of the square which we multiply by 4 to obtained the required perimeter of the blue square.
