@@eBayMiniatureRescues Its kinda like Pen & Paper with Models and Wargaming. Even in the GW store back then people were encouraged to play their character and talk to each other in character etc.. You also could do any action you could think of and create crazy moments. I remember a game where Eisenhorn had a Space Marine drop his Bolter (through warp shenanigans) and then use a Cyber Mastiff to get it back to him. He couldnt really use it in the end though since he was physically too weak :D. At least the Space Marine lost his ranged weapon, otherwise he would have killed everyone. They are really OP like how they should be. You could of course just do actions like jump around a corner and shoot someone while mid air. It was just really likely something fails and in any case you miss depending on your stats ofc.. Hitting certain body parts was fun. Like shooting people in the head with meltaguns. I want to play it again one day but in 28mm scale, there are so many cool models now and its easier with terrain etc..

I miss this game. Sadly, it came about because of a poor marketing decision by GW. They designed the specialist inquisitor models that weren’t tied to any game. The CEO at the time wouldn’t release them unless they had an associated game, so they “made up” Inquisitor to support the models. This meant the game was ultimately unsustainable and it died pretty quickly. I loved the Inquisitor Battle Reports and am so disappointed that they weren’t able to finish them.

@@eBayMiniatureRescues Look for the Inquisimunda stuff, merging it with Necromunda. It made things work relatively well with more things and a bit faster. Inquisitors problems were more of the massive requirements for, basically, an entire set of terrain that barely crossed with the rest of the collection. The minis did work very well for statues at the time I mainly miss the Legends of the Old West game they had...Warhammer Historicals used to be some of the best there.

I played this game back when it was first released. I still have 5 minis for the game that I bought back then, although I never picked up this guy. I do have the (real) space marine though, which was the best one by far! The biggest problem with the game back then was that you really needed plenty of terrain to play it properly, since there were very detailed rules for hiding behind cover and kneeling, going prone etc. Of course nobody had terrain the right size to play with these models... I actually grew up in Nottingham, and I remember going to Warhammer World to play this game with a friend. Unfortunately, even they didn't have any suitably scaled terrain so we had to just play it on a normal 40k board which was a bit weird... Of course these days we have the perfect solution - 3d printers. Maybe one day I'll print out some 54mm scale terrain and actually have a proper game of Inquisitor. I guess 20 years late is better than never? 🤣

Plus a couple I tried and failed to sell :-( One of my favorite memories is a guard vet character I had converted to use a plasma gun (Using 40K plasma cannon). The weapon suffered an epic misfire and blew up, almost killing the character. I then set about converting a 2nd guard vet, this one had a bionic left arm, half bionic face and some epic scars but this time had a melta gun. The story being that it was the same guy, just rebuilt and with a new found distrust of plasma weapons.

I loved painting up models for Inquisitor. I sketched and wrote about many characters but in the end never found anyone to actually play it with. I hope models like Tyrus and Delphan Gruss eventually make their way into 40k. The Death Watch captain (Artemis?) made his way into the Deathwatch releases and one of the Arco-Flagellants from the Sister of Battle range references the first Arco-Flagellant model, Damien 1427. Hopefully this means that some characters will work their way into the limelight. We can thank the Inquisitor game for the Inquisitor Eisenhorn book series too, so that's good.

Casey, I am pretty sure you already know this, but just in case. Pewter mini's don't like to be left in a strong degreaser (like LA's Totally Awesome) for long periods of time. Especially if there is bare metal showing. It will slowly corrode the surface. Have had this happen only if I left the mini in the degreaser for multiple days. The thick layer of paint will protect it from the degreaser, until you start scrubing. I like to use acetone and/or Dettol instead. Dettol can make a bit of a mess, so I start with acetone and finish with Dettol. Ps acetone is the main ingredient of super glue deactivator/debonder.

@eBayMiniatureRescues

@@a.wilson4809 bloat drone tubes are perfect! The tamiya putty was alright, I don’t think I’d use it for gap filling normally though, it was pretty sticky and difficult to work with. I much prefer the standard milliput for gaps. It’s easy to use and it can be sanded down once it’s dry. Vallejo putty is the same issue for me, it’s just super gooey and difficult to put on, though I think it’s better than tamiya. Definitely try milliput though, it’s a two part compound that dries in a few hours, and you can use water to smooth it out on the model. I’ve also seen it thinned with isopropyl alcohol to make a thinner mix that can be brushed into gaps and that seems easier than vallejos stuff.

@@eBayMiniatureRescues I had tried milliput with very limited success, it wouldn't stick to the model (tried water and vaseline to make it more workable). At the very least, those old school Inquisitor models still have a use as statuary in terrain builds for 40K. Nice video and although these sculpts were during a time when I wasn't playing 40K so much they are pretty well sculpted and designed!

Isn't that a witch hunter tyrus mini? Good to see some inquisitor mini love. But the space marine from that game was a deathwatch marine. Tyrus is just a normal man.

@@eBayMiniatureRescues let's be honest, the dude is a tank, so it's a understandable thing. Once you see the size of the deathwatch captain you realise how much bigger the scale is. I used the marine minis for deamon prince's back in the day duse to the size and armour. Love the minis and I I remember right the inquisitor mini was plagued with bad castings as I had to send mine back 3 times. The bad metal casting you had I don't think was from chemicals from a bath but from too much of the release powder. I had 3 bad pocked casts of him and 2 of the marine and 1 of the flagalent. I may be wrong in your case but mine looked like that fresh from GW HQ.

Those inquisitor models are cool. I've got the captain artemis model. Been after it for years but the price people were asking was too high for me. Stumbled across another player at my flgs that had one floating around and was willing to trade for a box of chaos marines so I jumped at the chance to finally have one

Finished about eight of the figures when they came out still have about thirty to paint including a ten man imperial guard squad,loved the game but you need like minded people to immerse themselves in the game as it is proper role play,although I did just plan to game as original rogue trader but on a big scale.

@@eBayMiniatureRescues their sound and style is certainly unique and hit an itch I didn't know I had. I saw them live two years ago, and they're just as good as in the studio!

@@murray1867 They really are spot on all the time. There’s a live at hell fest show that they did last year during covid that you can watch on KZitem, studio quality live show that is practically perfect, it’s insane how good they sound not in the studio.
