this chaos to calm challenge has been so eye opening. I always hear “morning routines” & I just think, what habits can I stack together to be the most productive. but thinking about how I want to feel instead of what I should do is something I’m now going to move to. Thank you Jules Acree

Because of you I (SMM business owner) took January off of social to create new systems, routines and detoxed from things that needed to be stopped. I just want to say thank you so much. I don’t know where or when I found you but I have loved it here since September. This was the best ending to this January adventure. Can’t wait to read the newsletter Sunday. Have a great Saturday. Loved this video soooooo much.

Started following an evening routine an hour before bed. Cleaning up the kitchen (I love walking into a clean kitchen in the morning, it's the best), skincare, reading, journaling, praying. No phones or screens. I sleep so much better and wake up refreshed! Also, I did the worksheet yesterday and was really empowered by it. Thanks for your resources, I'm looking forward to more videos!

I work at 6am and don't have time to wake up any sooner to have a morning routine. It's been hard keeping up with a routine after work as well because I'm already physically and emotionally drained. This video has helped me realize I should listen to my body more and have rest days and not be so hard on myself for not completing what has started to feel like tasks rather than something to bring me joy and peace. I'm going to find my non negotiables and maybe one day I can habit stack when I start feeling more energized. Ty Jules

i thought it was really interesting to focus on what *isn't* working and what we *don't* want. a lot of times, I focus on 'what is SHOULD do' and 'positive habits that I want to inhabit.' to start from the opposite is a cool approach to fine-tune what I need to focus on. loving this challenge and how it encourages us to achieve the same concepts/ goals but in different ways

I used to be a big morning workout person, but something wasn't clicking for me lately. By the time I would workout, shower, and eat breakfast...it was very much the afternoon lol. I decided to switch to evening workouts and I actually don't hate it! Gives me time to wind down with my routine rather than feel rushed to finish it. Ultimately, if I decide to switch back, that's ok too :)

I normally use an app with my friends with a list of our own habits so we can support each other, but lately it has been falling apart, some of us have been feeling a little guilt if we dont do it even though we know is good for us, I love that in your video it sounds so simple and beautiful that a habit should be something we get to do and not something we have to do (i wrote it down) im going to make dinner and reevaluate my habits and make it what i need now

Final week! Another great video - echoing others that focusing on the "feel" of your morning, and all parts of your day is so essential. This has me reflecting on my geographical location aa lot, and how it affects my energy, the amount of physical space in NYC vs other cities (like I'd love to set up Tonal in my Brooklyn apartment, but sadly not an option 😂). Believe you mentioned living in NY before Jules - did the move to Austin come as a result of looking for a city with a different energy, weather, *vibe*, or anything like that? Maybe I'm in a grass is greener mindset, but I do sometimes dream of living somewhere warmer, with greater access to nature. Anyway, on a bit of a tangent, but the "reset" and journey to calm has got me thinking! Last thing - how long has gua sha been part of your self-care routine? Do you find it helpful? How does one begin? KZitem video guides? :)

Love the idea of focusing on how you feel!! I’ve tried morning routines because I felt like I SHOULD do certain things (wake up super early, exercise, etc), but they didn’t necessarily always make me FEEL good, so I’d lose motivation and stop. Lately I’ve been really enjoying just moving slowly in the morning, getting in a quick meditation and having some time for introspection before I start my day - it feels better than having to ‘achieve’ something first thing. Thanks for the video :)
