I LOVE beach-themed anything, and have always wanted THIN resin bookmarks. Like you, Fran, I found that the thick ones from molds tend to ruin books (which is a sin in *my* book!) 😁. I am an avid reader and am always losing my bookmarks, so this is a great way to make several at once! These are just *gorgeous!* TY, Fran! I prefer the irregular edge best, too. 😊👍 *TIP:* Sand tends to darken quite a bit when wetted with anything. Resin darkens it permanently. For whiter/lighter sand, more closely resembling its original color, simply mix in a drop or two of white pigment. 😊👍

I just found you here on KZitem and have since been checking out your other videos. I love your ideas and your work. I bought your gold and silver pigment. I also bought some of the transparent sheets, the wet/dry sand paper, and the spring drill. Sadly those 3 I bought off Amazon cuz i didn’t realize you had a website at the time. I’m going to make some of your things soon. I can’t wait. Been making many resin things for a couple years and always love new ideas. Thanks for your channel. Learning a lot. Hope to buy more from you in the future. Do you have a promo code?

Hello! I'm not sure if you'd be able to cut and shape UV resin the way I do with Brilliant Resin epoxy, can you let me know if you give it a try? Thanks for your comments :) fran@little-windows.com

You know that you don’t have to fill up moulds to the top, like if the bottom of the mould is the top of the item, it’s perfectly ok
@LittleWindowsResin

Hi @PoppyMeadoesmc! That's true, but I've found it difficult to make flowing designs like this, the colors get stuck against the side walls and look less like stained glass to me. The resin also builds up thicker along the sides, so they either need cutting or more aggressive sanding to make the smooth pieces I was going for. I also like the freedom to cut any shape and size from my puddles :) Thanks for your feedback! fran@little-windows.com

QUESTION: I'm new to resin, but I was under the impression that using alcohol inks in resin, that colour would fade away. Is this not true?
@LittleWindowsResin
19 күн бұрын
Hello @attagurlprepping9809, this is true of many brands of alcohol ink, and of certain colors more than others. The darker blue I used here is resin colorant, the other colors are alcohol inks from my shop at little-windows.com I used the resin colorant because I wanted something darker than the blue that comes in this set, but I've been using these colors for a few years and have seen very little fading. I'm also not too concerned about fading in a project like this as it's a bookmark that'll be protected from sun for the most part. I hope that's helpful :) fran@little-windows.com
