This may cause some sort of disturbance to you and i apologize prior to what i shall say. I’d like to say that the actual word needed to use in sayings such as, ‘you’re welcome’ is you’re. this just means it’s the two words, you and are together! I hope this helps with your learning and I helped more people!

There's been some crap in my life over the last one-and-a-half year and you sir are actually helping me to cope. Because if everything else goes totally rubbish, at least I am not. And now I get a feeling that I'm probably going to get out of this crap situation with more strength than I ever had before I'm a 16 year old German dude that's been through enough shit to be 25 by the way. I don't know if you're ever gonna read this, but if you got to this point, I just want to thank you. Isn't it funny that a style grooming and fitness channel gets me back on track?

@DelayedJet

Yeah, I totally see where you're coming from. I get that feeling a lot as well, but not from everywhere. In my situation, I go to university and I work at a supermarket. At the supermarket, I seldom get any kind of respect from either customers or colleagues (apart from a few of the people that I closely work with - a lot of other people, mostly those who work in different areas as me, are often quite strange, disrespectful, or completely inappropriate or even rude to me). Out in public places, I rarely come across truly nice or great people (might just be the customer service in New Zealand though, as well as general attitudes over here). At university, I find that respect is actually earned from most people and scenarios, but admittedly, not always - and that's always going to be the case wherever you go (respect is far from being absolutely everywhere you go, unfortunately). I also admit that I need to keep improving at this particular solution, but for me, I heavily believe in just respecting people all the time, everywhere I go. It may seem like a really ignorant and stupid thing to do, but it doesn't really cost me anything if I do it, so why not? It makes me happy, if I get it right, and that's because, even if you're running into people who just don't respect you, they're still human. They have or had their own lives and aspirations, loved ones, fears, hobbies, reasons, ups, downs, and everything in between. When someone shows a lack of respect, or even full-on disrespect to you, and you don't know the first thing about them, the natural and most common thing to do is to imagine them as being just the worst kind. You end up thinking that there's nothing about them that you could possibly respect, admire or find cool in some way - that there's absolutely nothing to understand about them, other than the worst, and that there's nothing that either of you have in common. All from one particular bad moment or timing, or maybe from several. Heck, during different timings, or from different angles, you could of really hit it out of the park with them. Who knows? Who is anyone to say otherwise if you don't know the first thing about them, or if you don't know that much about them? You could be just experiencing their 'bad side', which is the worst side to experience when you're first meeting them. What's their 'good side' like? The key is to set examples. If people just respected each other, no matter how shitty their attitudes may come across to each other, it sets positive examples. You may end up inspiring someone else to take on that kind of attitude, and to make a change. Maybe the person who was such an ass to you will come to realise, in light of you being so much more respectful, regardless of what he/she threw at you, that he/she was a bit of a dick, and circumstances might end up changing. Maybe if they see you again, they'll act differently because they see that they're being treated in a more forgiving way, or something. Maybe you won't see them again, but your positive attitude may have just caused a small, but crucial chain-reaction of awesomeness, where that person is being more respectful to others, causing even more chain-reactions and awesomeness. Maybe you'll never know the impact of respecting others more, but if you do it enough - I'm talking, like, all the time, it will absolutely have some effect; that, I guarantee you. Some things turn out like the Butterfly Effect; small causes that, over time, have bigger impacts and effects. Sorry for the long-ass comment. Enjoy the rest of your day, and I hope this helps.

Hi Victoria , i understand where you coming from it hard to beleive but its true because the state of mind is expectation to get respect. just try to change position and best thing you can do is brief somebody like and dislike in a notepad as i know human always remember everything in picture and you can remember easily. a) write down their interest like and dislike. b) Second, Try to focus on yourself rather than them. c) a little surprise gift "such as a meal that you can bring while you enter "to one of the your group member you want. it will be matter a lot for every one and dont forget to distribute to all as other may feel bad as our intension is to feel confident not to make other jeleous. d) don't fall on them. always try to react positive on every situation ,i would say donnt suggest your openion in conversation if you dont feel comfortable. e)try to be busy in productive things. f)wear what ever you feel comfortable and also it suits you. g) practice to smile . h)never loose your temper. I hope it will help you . But this is my experience and if you feel still confused my whats app no is 00447850557723.

I really hope this video can help me. All of my friends are older than me and sometimes I feel like I'm invisible. They all play different games than I do and since they are the majority, they always play the games that they want. Never the games that I play. On top of that, they discriminate against the games that I play which I find very annoying and rude. I never tried stand up for myself because for one, I was the youngest and two, it was 1 against 4. I also never tried because it would either result in me loosing the argument or them disliking the game even more. I can never voice my opinion, I am always ignored when I politely ask them to do something, I am ashamed for playing the games that I enjoy the most, and I am always looked down upon in competition. Again, I will try to apply as much as possible to my life and see how it goes. None of this was exaggerated and I am still friends with them but we all deserve respect.

If they refuse to stop swearing in public, then you need to ask yourself, do you still accept them as who they are? or is there a problem? But first thing is first talk about it... if you can't talk about it, then they never really were your friend

Sometimes ignorance is also important for earning respect. If you keep on taking everyone seriously , You keep on thinking about others , caring too much about what they feel , clarifying yourself for everything , going out of your way to help others , always agree with others even if leads to your loss. By this you're sending a message like anybody can come and treat me how they want and I'm fine with it. They will start taking you for granted and treat you low. They would start believing that your opinion doesn't matters that much and you're not the one to be taken seriously.( I'm saying all this from my personal experience). The best you can do in such cases is learn to say NO , if someone is taking you for granted , start showing them your ignorance. Change your body language. Make it more dominant and show them who's the boss. I might sound a bit of an asshole , but believe me guys people don't take you seriously until you show your existence and fight for it.

People who expect their beliefs to be respected just because they hold them is absurd imo. It's arrogant and entitled. It, to me, throws away the intellectual honesty and the critical analysis that is, and should be, given to every set of ideas. I think a lot of this has to do with political correctness, we're so afraid of violating a person's personal sensitivities or that we might offend them that, in the process, we start choosing to conform to feelings and sensitivities than honesty, truth, and facts, because we don't want to deal with the intense negative emotions from that opposite individual that will spew out if you decide to be honest and truthful to yourself. To me, that's a big problem. That's my take on it.

Read "Crucial Conversations" and you'll realize why you can't have dialogue without respect.

Well, the way I see it, is if you have a different opinion than me, I'll respect that. I may not like your opinion, but you're entitled to it, just like I am to mine.

Money is just a tool. And also, Miles of money cant buy one centimeter of respect. You cant gain respect for just having money, You have to do something with it.

stephencolbert5 they have no respect cause they suck eitherwise.... But Jobs and Onasis and other cool millionaires are pretty much respected...being rich does not mean that you suck...in fact the people who envy them they really suck!

self-improvement starts with knowing and being yourself, not with aiming to be the best in all areas of life. because at some point, you're going to drop the ball, and when you do, all you will have is yourself, not the illusion of the "perfect" person you've built for others to see.

Damn I needed that. I was bullyed at school, and I did not have the warm blood in me to talk back. Now I feel a little courage in my bones. Thanks to you. No one would come up a chat like this. And if I didn't get the idea for searching one of these vids, I would propably stay sad and eat Nutella with apple.
