He’s just very strident about the other direction when the truth is that it’s too murky to tell either way and it requires faith to believe either extreme. For example, Greco-Roman’s called “crucifixion” as either staking/planking or “timber-ing/tree-ing” never using the word “cross” although they did used cross shaped stakes a lot of times. Some ancient Christians put Jesus on a single upright stake stick and some had Jesus being nailed up to a tree like Odin… “most likely this, probably that” but we won’t know exacts until we have much better evidence than stories and archaeological statistics.

@@theoutspokenhumanist I think it’s less just him spewing nonsense Vs Reading so many texts and not taking enough time to isolate personal opinion and what is considered academic Things just get blurred together Their is plenty of offshoots and denominations that think different things Just look at the 3 main monotheistic religions Islam, Judaism and Christianity All 3 religions follow the same figures and stories for thousands of years yet disagree on Jesus Which in my opinion is 1 of the many things that demonstrates how important he was

@@anthonyurso3554 I might agree if it wasn't for the problem of him claiming to be an expert on ancient civilisations. What you suggest, about him not isolating his personal opinion is the minimum we should expert from an expert. That and doing the minimum of research to fact check what he reads. And having more education than just high school would help. He is a fraud and this is just his latest money scheme. As for Jesus, it is important to recognise that whilst all three monotheistic religions have an opinion, they all take their information from the same source, the New Testament authors and the Christian tradition that built up around them. Therefore, whatever they may think rests entirely on whether the Christian bible is true and that cannot be verified, only believed or not.

How did God's word get so confusing? Or is it really God's word? I would think that a wise, loving god would deliver a message that's simple, to the point, and easy to understand. Maybe a good word of God would simply be, "Love one another," and then a clarification of what that really means. And yet we have these bibles that only biblical experts seem to understand.
@nezz0r

If it is easy to understand then there would be no need for intermediators. Think about all the Rabbies, Priests and Imams if the word was easy. What would be their purpose? If someone can claim to speak for the Creator then that someone has essentially the authority of the Creator.

@@phaulsgawds9945 That is dogma, not data, my friend. Depending on an Old Greek mistranslation of the Hebrew (which uses the ancient Egyptian word for a known body of wetlands) is a glaring, sophomoric mistake. Moreover, look at a map: There is no logical or practical reason to assert the crossing of the Red Sea. Such a claim is just silly.

Look, I recommend people do their own research; because Dan is ABSOLUTELY WRONG. The Ethiopians are the only African country that HAS NOT been colonized by Europeans. ALSO, one of the oldest civilizations in the world, along with Egypt and Sumeria, India, etc. Queen Sheeba, Ruler of Ethiopia had a son, Menelik, with King Solomon. This is 3000 years ago people. The Ethiopians, just like the Egyptians, did a very good job at documenting. But of course, just because Europe never colonized Ethiopia, they think can speak on a religion that doesn’t even ORIGINATE in EUROPE. I absolutely hate the ego of humans.

@@e070e it’s not weird at all. The Hebrews you speak of (the real Israelites, who were originally a dark skinned, were already gone into exile. The Roman Empire and the people they had over their churches were the ones doing the bs edits. Still has nothing to do with the Israelites. Hebrew was a common language at the time. The Church were controlled by gentiles that were allowed to assimilate into Romans. Who were the gentiles? Europeans. Clearly. History is important. You CAN NOT understand the Bible if you don’t know history. Europeans have not stopped altering the scriptures since they’ve had control of the region. But going back to your point. Alexander the Great pretty much started the Hellenization process of the Scriptures. At the time, Greek and Romans couldn’t relate to Judaism and Christianity. Their religion was Greek and Roman mythology. They needed to incorporate their culture into the Bible, so it could be relatable to Europeans. And everything went down hill after that. All the way up until 1604, when they made the King James Version. There was no way in hell King James was about to give his people a book that exposed all of the shame of the Roman’s, Assyrians, and Greeks. This is all documented ppl. Just study for once. PLEASE.

Menelik I is the child of Solomon and Makeda (the Ethiopic name for the queen of Sheba; she is the child of the man who destroys the legendary snake-king Arwe[32]) from whom the Ethiopian dynasty claims descent to the present day. While the Abyssinian story offers much greater detail, it omits any mention of the Queen's hairy legs or any other element that might reflect on her unfavourably Based on the Gospels of Matthew (Matthew 12:42) and Luke (Luke 11:31), the "queen of the South" is claimed to be the queen of Ethiopia. In those times, King Solomon sought merchants from all over the world, in order to buy materials for the building of the Temple. Among them was Tamrin, great merchant of Queen Makeda of Ethiopia. Having returned to Ethiopia, Tamrin told the queen of the wonderful things he had seen in Jerusalem, and of Solomon's wisdom and generosity, whereupon she decided to visit Solomon. She was warmly welcomed, given a palace for dwelling, and received great gifts every day. Solomon and Makeda spoke with great wisdom, and instructed by him, she converted to Judaism. Before she left, there was a great feast in the king's palace. Makeda stayed in the palace overnight, after Solomon had sworn that he would not do her any harm, while she swore in return that she would not steal from him. As the meals had been spicy, Makeda awoke thirsty at night and went to drink some water, when Solomon appeared, reminding her of her oath. She answered: "Ignore your oath, just let me drink water." That same night Solomon had a dream about the sun rising over Israel, but being mistreated and despised by the Jews, the sun moved to shine over Ethiopia and Rome. Solomon gave Makeda a ring as a token of faith, and then she left. On her way home, she gave birth to a son, whom she named Baina-leḥkem (i.e. bin al-ḥakīm, "Son of the Wise Man", later called Menilek). After the boy had grown up in Ethiopia, he went to Jerusalem carrying the ring and was received with great honors. The king and the people tried in vain to persuade him to stay. Solomon gathered his nobles and announced that he would send his first-born son to Ethiopia together with their first-borns. He added that he was expecting a third son, who would marry the king of Rome's daughter and reign over Rome so that the entire world would be ruled by David's descendants.
