I knew our vlog channel people mostly didn't like trains, but I didn't realize until I watched The Toys That Made Us how badly Train Zords evidently did on the show. I guess fans REALLY didn't like Super Train. Really?? And I was still in CA when ToQger was being discussed. Seemed like both Saban and Bandai were not confident with trains. I disagreed then. They were probably right. It seems like a lot of fans really dislike trains. I don't get it. Half of all of Power Rangers is literally one giant model railroad. I would have thought they'd go together so well considering all of the miniatures every single season uses, which in some cases were literally bought from a model train store. I even have the same trees they used to put in front of the Shogun Megazord boot in season 3 when doing forced perspective They're Woodland Scenics. And if the show is being aimed younger, don't a lot of kids like trains? Maybe not as much anymore. When I was growing up, train stores were everywhere. Toys R us had a dedicated aisle to model trains of every scale. By the time Toys R Us was closing, there wasn't a single train set there. Maybe a battery operated one they'd put out around Christmas. I'd say trains have died down a lot in popularity. Nothing like when I was little. But, I guess it was good to see the train show being crowded. Some people still like 'em, but I don't think they're for this audience, or a large audience in general. In Japan I guess trains are a much bigger thing.

So many great turtles these days, I don't even know what I'd recommend, really whatever thing you like best, I guess. The NECA movie turtles are so real looking it's hard to tell in some images if it's a movie still or the toys. They even fooled me once. I think it was the Secret of the Ooze box maybe? One of those had the toys on it, and I mistook it for the movie art. Crazy how good those are. But the cartoon figures are equally as incredible. Then there are the comics. I'm really not a big comics guy, but I had to grab a few of those too. And then Super 7's re-creating my childhood toys with more paint and accessories and articulation... ugughgh. Yeah, I'm honestly not too sorry Hasbro's taking a break. Focus on my wall and some of these other things I also collect. (Also needed the Dinosaurs... just got Earl & Baby at Target)

Already did, and I can't pay people to click on them. We can only really spend time (and money) now on things our viewers will actually watch. In one KingOhger video I had to include the MMPR Megazord in the thumb for attention. Snuck more KingOhger into the Kyoryujin video since I knew people would click on that one, at least. It's become the most stubborn and apathetic audience. Almost nothing is interesting to this fandom now. People tend to like things if you can get them to actually give the thing a chance, but getting to that point is almost impossible now. Look at how many subs we have, and the views on this video. They see it, they won't click on it. If this was a dinosaur, the video would be in the 50K range right now. Fans aren't understanding the time and cost of running this channel, which is made possible by our viewers showing up. We've had to cut back a ton in recent years b/c the funding is just gone. 😕

@MMPRtoys
8 ай бұрын
Thanks. The Megazord is fully transformable. If you want a working electric RR, you don't want to be transforming them. They'll be living on the tracks. The candy toys which I'm using for my train do not have the ability to attach to the Megazord either way. They are functional in the morpher, but not after you remove the bottom to convert it to electric train wheels. The trains you saw on ToQger didn't become the Megazord either. It looks like they were using n-scale trains in certain shots like I showed in this video, then it looks like they had some larger more detailed models, then they had the CG trains too, and finally, a guy in a suit. So, same idea here. You have different models for different uses. Candy toys run on the track, the DX Megazords are displayed above. I've never tried taking the DX version apart. Maybe you could custom that and have it do both, but this was the best and easiest (and cheapest) solution for me.

@@ZX-Gear Trains last forever if you care for them. My big trains you don't even have to care for. The first set I got in 1986: kzitem.info/news/bejne/l7BquXiXp3Sof4I it's running like new right now. It's been inside, it also ran in the California desert for five years. Now it's in a basement. It's never been serviced. I have many HO trains too that are now more than 20 years old. Bandai could have done a fancy (and expensive) set with KATO for adult fans, which would last forever. They also could have simply sold a single candy toy with a motor. Like the ones you see at the dollar store. The trains are already all the same size, they join together, Bandai even did make track, which had lights. There's no reason it couldn't have worked. Battery operated trains have existed for kids my entire life. Just like the battery operated Thomas trains that might still be at Target (haven't checked recently) or all of the cheapy Christmas trains that are for sale everywhere in December. So easy and inexpensive to produce, and so many options. I can't figure out why they didn't do it. They just needed to sell track packs, and one motorized engine. We've had motors since day one with Titanus. Big crazy-fancy things like Q-Rex and the Manticore Megazord that was able to transform itself. Remember the powered turbo carts in Carranger? We've had all sorts of powered toys in a variety of sizes. For some reason they just didn't, but I can't think of any reasons why not.

@@MMPRtoys I guess I am so used to many a toy company cutting corners and not taking advantage of a niche that is left unfilled. I remember being a bit disappointed that my Tigerzord was a non-transforming electronic walker but now I kinda remember a bit fondly as something that filled its own niche. Hell,Hasbro used to fill their Transformers with play features and electronics at one point but with so many cut corners and rising prices,I felt like said Era was long gone.

Very cool display. I'd enjoy seeing more videos of your progress on your displays as you go. I also like model train sets so seeing those are always fun. Inspired by this video I started thinking how cool it would be if there were a train set that looked like the Mighty Morphin zords were the train or perhaps train cars carrying the zords from one shelf through a cave into a town on the next shelf and finally to the command chamber for 3" PVC civilian Billy to repair them*. The Turbo zords and a Rad Bug could be amongst the traffic on the street scenery. 🤔 I hope to see more cool videos. I'm still rewatching and re-liking all your past videos. I honestly do like the boomboonger designs. They're so silly I can't help but like them

I'm actually excited to see the new season with cars. I'm about 10 to 12 episodes behind on the current season

It's always good to see an update for the display shelf! and as someone who is just getting into toQger 10 years late, it is really cool seeing the trains being motorized.
