Nice Video! I love Winter Camping! Whats the name oh the Tent?

@user-vy8ex8wn4m We have had this tent for years, MSR Fusion 2, not sure if still available from MSR but they probably have other similar options. Ours is 4 season, double wall (solid fly with vents plus mesh tent). MSR makes great gear (not sponsored so unbiased feedback). They also have excellent customer support from our experience. Enjoy your adventures out there!

@@airoutthere thank you for your answer! I thought that the Mountain Hardware Outpost 2 is a good alternative. I am searching for an all Season tent which isnt to heavy.

@user-vy8ex8wn4m I hope you find what suits your needs. I find the 4 season tents are bit heavier but worth it as usually slightly better construction to handle most stiff winds and wet heavy snow loading (still have to brush our tent off occasionally to prevent tent from caving in and/or poles from breaking if heavy wet snow). Reflectors on tents and highly visible colour are helpful too if returning in dark with headlamp or for SAR. I put down a reflective tarp inside to stay dry from snow and it helps a bit to prevent heat transfer. Also I currently use 2 air sleeping pads in winter with a good down sleeping bag but may research/buy one thick air pad as gear options better as each year passes. A proper large fly that actually covers entire tent but still allows some airflow and pegs out securely with vestibule(s) is great for any season, especially in winter, the vestibule on ours is great for digging out to have feet lower to take off/put on boots and other gear. I would probably try for 2 vestibules on next tent if doesn’t add too much weight. There are many options/shapes/sizes out there for tents or tarp prop up options with hiking/ski pole in centre style (dyneema material I’ve heard is super lightweight and durable etc), depends on what terrain you’re travelling in and what type of adventures you’re doing and price willing to spend. For me personally it’s about getting out there with family & friends, with gear I have currently and occasionally upgrading as necessary if able. The beauty out there in creation is too incredible to pass up. Wish you all the best in your search for a new tent and safe travels!

Hey man what’s the exact reflectix sheet u put down there ?
@airoutthere

@hudsonkornegay2003 Thanks for watching, the big reflective tarp is a multipurpose tarp, can be found online at following stores, and possibly more stores: Canadian Tire, Cabella’s or MEC (Mountain Equipment Company), it is listed as SOL Brand (Survive Outdoors Longer: All Season Blanket; four season of protection | windproof | durable | heat reflective and waterproof | rugged lightweight tarp | highly visible). Price ranges from ~$21.99-$25.95. Advertised to reflect 80% of radiated body heat. Very versatile. We use it as internal tent footprint and could come in handy for signalling for SAR and survival blanket, etc. Hope that helps!
