I just... love you. The most loving dish in all south Asian cuisine, by one of the greatest chefs. You may not want to be bowed to, doubtless you'll feel embarrassed, you want to be humble, you want to be a woman of the people. I get it. I would eat your Dhal sat on your kitchen floor while you stared at the stars, each of us wondering if we could ever top this experience. Food is the greatest love, arguably, and we feel loved when you share your expertise with us, Bhen. Our stomachs and hearts filled with love.

Another dish that I can’t wait to try myself! I was wondering why you almost always wait until the last minute to add the garam masala. Wouldn’t you want the flavours to cook into the dish? Simply curious about the “why” behind it :) Thank you for the awesome content!
@MyLittleKitchenRecipes
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 Garam masala is almost always added towards the end of the cook so it can further enhance the finished dish. So it not only seasons it but also adds aroma.

Hi there. This is my favourited daal that my Mum makes. I tried your recipe today and it turned out really well. My GF and I have a medium sized pot of it now for the week ahead, and we're both really happy with that thought. It's really tasty and tastes like home. Soft, warming, and gentle lingering flavours. Thanks and sincere best wishes. Look forward to seeing more content and trying new dishes :)

Omg, Shamza! I never realized i could freeze dal makhani or other dishes! I have been cooking Pakistani/Indian food for the last 2 years. Hi Gary, thank you for your comment 😊 In my humble opinion and I am saying this after I tested this recipe with onions that 'I' prefer it without. There is no right or wrong way to make this, rather it's how different households/regions have been making it. Why don't you try both versions and then maybe decide which it is you both prefer! 😉🙌 i do not wish to be the reason a ww3 started over Dal 🤣

Paul, just double the amount of water and cooking time. Low to med heat setting. Keep an eye on the water levels and just top up with more if needed (common sense) and just follow the rest of the recipe as normal.
