I see what you were talking about on Sunday. The rust on that old cab is really bad. Glad you got the deal on the one with the great chassis.

It's more than I really wanted to spend, but I was between a rock and a rusted panel with no other options.

You will be far ahead with this one. Sell the leftovers, recoupe a bunch of bread baby! Use towards blasting, parts etc., you know! Love, Dubs

You are way far better with this last chassis... Sell any extra parts and keep on truckin' to get your Dad's clone done!! Way better plan!! Go for it!!

Im rebuilding a ‘67 Power Wagon. I removed the fuel tank from behind the seat. My body man covered the fuel hole in the cab. My mechanic installed a poly tank between the frame rails where the spare tire might go. I don’t want a bomb behind my seat… You’ve got this! Just saw the Dodge in the walk around! Nice!

I'm actually not really scared of the tank inside the cab. You need to have a pretty bad wreck to rupture the in cab tank. In my Model A coupe and I made an L shaped tank that starts in the trunk and ends up under the seat. It kind of the safest place for it, under the center of the car and it's 14 ga steel.

Makes sense to me! Being that the entire chassis is like new. Much less rot to repair. You really beat the seller up on price,

I mean I think I got a fair price. The bed is junk, the doors fenders and hood are all rough. The cab is far from cherry, but fixable.

I guess, that a was a good deal, you will save a lot of time going from this new all ready chassis. Great and agile idea :-). On my side, I am done with all these rusty restorations. I always prefere to wait and save more money, and buy a decent vehicle to start from.

I think you would be money ahead to go out west and find a rust free cab. Thats a whole lot of work and money to fix that.

I already have the panels to fix it. They aren't giving those western cabs away cheap anymore.

Chill out bro. Out of nearly 900 videos over 6 years, I'm pretty sure this is one of the very few times I mentioned background noise like lawn mowers. I've waited multiple hours until various outside noises went away many many times while trying to film videos. I just happened to make a random comment this one time. Certain noises, like lawn mowers, really pick up a lot on mics, so I try not to annoy my viewers with stuff like that. If your main takeaway from this video is I'm a dick for making a random comment, then go watch someone else.
