No problem :) thats why I made it. I like to listen to videos while I cook and clean so that I can study and be productive at the same time.

@@Marian_NC You should definitely make more videos on different poets and authors. I benefited a lot from this video. And I checked a few of your other videos too. Your approach is incredible. It's terse, precise and without the dramatics some KZitemrs employ to make their videos entertaining. You kind of get your points clear which is more important especially because your videos are for academic purposes. Your content is more than remarkable. It sorta sits in the head once you go through it twice or thrice. I usually don't comment on KZitem videos but I'm really grateful for this one, and I felt like I should let you know. I didn't expect any response, considering how old this video is. Thank you once again! ❤️

@@samragngiroy Thank you, that is very kind of you. I'm currently working on some art videos under the KZitem account Proxima Studios. I could make more education videos though...is there a particular topic you would be interested in? I did my B.A in 19th century literature so that's my specialty, but doing research is fun for other topics.

@@Marian_NC 19th Century would be great. Also if you could do something on the Modernist period, it would be really enlightening, you know, how the two wars resulted in a complete paradigm shift with patriarchy breaking down and women occupying the public sphere. Then the existential crisis that followed. It's a really interesting era.

@@samragngiroy I have studied that period a little bit, so we shall see. I am finishing some scripts on detective fiction and one on WW1 literature and the social shift that it caused.

Hmmmmm he didnt capture her to impress or because he had a right to her as you would. If you read David. M vieth on Rochester it clearly stated in the introduction that they marry after as this is what she supposed to have wanted initially

An intelligence that had given place to evil, unrestrained desire, ultimately reaping what it had sowed - an example of what not to become, and how not to live your life, if you value life and even a degree of self-care.

I think he may have died of Brights Disease, not syphilis.

There are several possible illnesses that could have killed him. The sources I read speculated that it was most likely to be a venereal disease that killed him, but I know that Carol Richards argues that it was Brights Disease...I think that is less likely than Syphilis simply because that, considering his lifestyle, it seems that the symptoms line up. Unfortunately we won't ever be sure, as we only have written records, and diagnosing these illnesses today can be difficult with the patient present and undergoing many exams :)
