This video is of the run-up and flight testing of the Planes of Fame Museum's (Chino, California) brand-new Wright R-2600 engine on our own Grumman WWII TBM torpedo bomber. This aircraft has been plagued with some engine problems over the past years but through the generosity of Tom Friedkin (big warbird enthusiast who donated the new, rebuilt engine, an absolutely HUGE expense, oh my gosh!), and the restoration team lead by Matt Nightingale and assisted by the father and 2 sons of the Pappas family (and also others) who DONATED their time, this aircraft is now up and running, and it is running very, very well. Thanks to everyone involved!
