Best remedy for faded plastic is the heat gun, just evenly heat the plastic until it releases its oils without melting it and it will look like new. Because fading occurs thanks to plastic drying out and it happens only on the surface from Suns UV light and by heating it will rehydrate surface.

I have thought about that method but essentially what you're doing is slightly melting the plastic little by little and over time it wll become more brittle which damages the plastic. The sun is what causes the fading in the first place, so putting more heat on it didn't make sense to me personally. There are so many methods people claim by and that is OK. I just wanted to try these products :)

@jacky445 No, that’s not the best way. What you’re doing is that you pulling out the oils in the plastic and drying it out more and more each time. After time it will be very brittle. For sure it looks good for a while, but it’s not a long time solution. What you can do, is to warm the plastic just so it gets warm and then putting it in a bath with slightly warm plastic restorer and let it rest there over night. My experience is that it renews the plastic and it gets soft and flexible again.

GO 2K!!!!! YA you need to make sure you give it time... As for the plastic that stuff is perfect... then I also Wire welded mine.

Looks great! I used Forever Black and it was super easy to put on, doesn't require masking, and has lasted a couple years now. Thanks for the content!

Looks awesome! My sunburnt cowel covers are due for a bit of that. Be happy the mess in the tray was just debris. The day I got my Viggen, I noticed mice had been in the hoodliner and down along the fenders, so I pulled the tray cover and gag, they had made a very messy love nest using the cabin filter as the bed mattress. 😲😲So glad I did not drive it, but felt bad for the dude that drove it 5hrs right before I bought it. He spent all that time, breathing in....'THE LOVE". 🤢🤢🤮🤮

Congrats on 1K SUBS! This is a job I will be doing on my 95 Aero once I get it back on the road. First I have a head gasket to replace before anything else gets done. I've been dreading doing the head gasket for quite a while now.

Nicely done, I just think it looks like you hit the trims abit thin with paint. like lots of small dots should need a thicker layer on it
