That looked like hard work, I think I'll have to save up and pay someone else to do mine. The pain in my spine would put me in hospital if I did that, and our patio is about twice the size. You did a great job.

Aw come on Leo, I haven’t got my garage sorted yet and you do another project like one I also need to do. I can’t keep up ☹️ 😆😆😆 Seriously, that looks like a lot of hard work, well done, especially with dodgy knees. Thanks, Rob

😂😂😂. Thanks Rob, those knee pads are a godsend, no way I could do that kind of job now without them. It was filmed over the course of several days and it needed to be so I could recover inbetween, really happy with how it turned out 😀😀👍👍

I'm smiling as you are giving advice on knee pads and getting down and back up (the hard bit) ... it's amazing how it almost seems to happen overnight 🤣... FYI you can buy a sand blasting attachment for pressure washers, so you could clean and get rid of the old finish in one go 👍

Very interesting Barry, I don’t know about the sandblasting attachment thing. Are they expensive? I don’t even know technically how sandblasting works, especially hooked up to a pressure washer

@@Hand-i-Craft I got mine on FleaBay for £12.15 (will fit Karcher) although I've not tried it yet ... works on the same principle as a normal sandblaster, air/water moves past a small hole at speed, creating a venturi effect which sucks sand out of a container into the air/water stream ... search for "Wet Blasting Kit" 👍

My strategy for those kneeling jobs was to get the mrs involved, unfortunately she had a new knee last year so now it’s on with the knee pads for me 😂😂😂

Hi Leo, hope your well, I agree with you on a battery powered jet wash ,this is only my thought but I don't see the point of a battery washer if you got a hose attached you may as well have cable attached, I see the point of battery tools no cables but when some thing else attached like a hose it's not cordless, some times you do need more power I am a fan of powered tools and that's what I use in the workshop, I'll battery tools when i'm out side, like is said just my thought, rant over......lol🤣🤣 You are doing a great job on the stripping not the best of jobs and turps substitute is good for keying in the wood for the varnish it gives a good hold for wood and varnish to bind. Ronseal do make good finishes for out door wood and it looks a great finish and it will last a few years it may get a bit weathered in a few years that will be it's up facing and facing the sun but it still protect the wood. As always a great video have a good weekend mate Take care😁👍👍

I’ve always used the work trousers with knee pads in, but recently the knee pad pockets give up far quicker than they used to so have thought about some separate ones instead but I seem to recall them being fiddly when I had 2hands so never actually looked into them. Are them Toughbuilt easy enough to put on or is it just one of those tasks where we have to get our wife’s to help with?🤣
@Hand-i-Craft

They’re a bit fiddly pal but possible one handed. They have a Velcro strap then button style clips to secure them so I get them roughly in place using the Velcro then tighten them with the straps 👍👍
