Nancy Al Raqqad is an Ophthalmologist (Eye Doctor) who challenged the Impossible by bringing a man his sight back after 15 years of being blind. A surgery that was successfully implemented in only 5 countries in the entire world. In this video she will take us through her journey of accepting such a challenge and getting over her fears to make the impossible, possible! Studied medicine and surgery at Jordan University. In 2007 awarded the Jordanian Board in ophthalmology and became a fellow of the Royal college of physicians and surgeons of Glasgow FRCS in UK.
In 2009 went to the UK to train in cornea subspecialty fellowship at Sussex Eye Hospital and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital TILL 2011.
Diploma in European leadership program EULdp in 2017 from Spain.
Member of the Jordanian ophthalmological society, European
ophthalmological society and the American Academy of ophthalmology.
An officer at the Directorate of Professional training at the Royal Medical services. A member and lead for Women in Ophthalmology Arabia group (WIO Arabia).
Has many publications in ophthalmology and introduced innovative
ophthalmic procedures to ophthalmology in Jordan.
