If The skin gets used to The stimulating effect of Tretinoin, wouldnt it be better to get off it for a while and start again?

Please clarify concentrations. Start low to high would be 0.25, 0.5 and 1. You said in video 0.1/ 0.01 which can't be the case right?

Doc , can toner (AHA or BHA) be avoided when using retinoid?
@-SimonRiley
Жыл бұрын
Yes, not necessarily avoidable but you shouldn't use them on the same day. Retinoids increase your skin's cell turnover rate while Exfoliants (AHAs/BHAs) remove the dead cells on the top layer of skin, giving way for the new clean cells which were concealed under them, where giving you the glow and smoothness you feel after using a chemical peel

@@QuonRetinoids is the name of all of them. Like apples and oranges and bananas all are fruit. So retinol, retinal, adapalene, tretinoin, Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate, retinyl retinoate etc are all retinoids, but with different molecular structures and different strength and/or efficiency. Strengthwise it goes like this: esters - retinol - retinal - tretinoin with Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate and retinyl retinoate are a bit different in that they work faster and are more gentle. Their strengths are debated. I use all if hem except the traditional retinol since I see no point in using something weaker that irritates more than its stronger sibling retinal. I find Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate ti be great for acne as is adapalene. Retinal us great for it all as is retinyl retinoate.
