Retiring overseas does not mean you have to pick one country and stay there forever. There are other ways to retire abroad, including slow traveling.
Slow travel means visiting new places and staying there for a longer time compared to traditional tourism. It allows you to immerse yourself in the country you visit, integrate with the local community, and really get a feel for the location and a sense of what it might be like to live there longer-term.
When California couple Warren and Julie began thinking about an overseas move, they were looking for a place that suited them both… they discovered Montenegro, where they have a home base, but when they’re not there, they’re roaming the globe with their two dogs. In this video they share some of their travel and expat experiences including buying property overseas, destinations they’ve enjoyed, those they haven’t, and reveal the most dog-friendly country they’ve been to.
