I guess we might have to pick a day to go to the museum…I haven’t been, either…and I’d like to see it. Funny seeing you ride the same roads I was on the day before. Good to see you out making videos again. Ride safe.

@@johngilbert1047 my grandson wants me to take him to the museum, so I guess I’ll be going. I crossed 49 going south, then rode 49 for a bit on the way home. I intended to ride to Morrow Mountain, but it started getting toasty. Thanks for watching, buddy.

I will have to visit that museum next time I'm up that way. I got to go to the one in Dayton Ohio a few years back. Thanks for sharing this.

They have about a dozen old airplanes in there, some of them military. I've been saying for years that I'm going, but I haven't made it there yet, lol. I appreciate you watching and commenting, Sam. Take care, buddy.

As always, thanks for the ride on those back country roads! It’s funny, my sister in law who’s visiting us here in Florida, we’re talking about retirement last night. She’s also a nurse, but not ready to totally pack it up. What she been doing lately is being a traveling nurse. Her last assignment was 3 months out in California! But she’s been all over the world on assignments. She’s set a goal for 2 more years of traveling to pay off her house in Sparta, NC and possibly another out in Sneads Ferry, her beach house. She said after that, maybe retirement. She also said as long as her health is good, she may just keep on going. BTW, she’s 70

My little bride has said that healthcare isn't what it used to be. She got into it because she wanted to help patients, but nowadays it's more about the numbers they can push through hospitals. Just like everything these days, it ain't what it used to be! I appreciate the comments and you taking the time to watch, my friend. Take care, and ride safe!

Please keep the Sporty, love that Vtwin sound! The Triumph will be nice for trips but the Sporty still makes a great around town & weekend bike. Congratulations on your wife's up coming retirement. I retired 11 years ago but 5 years into it I got a part time job to stay busy. Helps with todays cost of living too! Again, love your roads and commentary, stay safe out there.

Honestly, I don't really need two motorcycles, but I would have a hard time parting with my Sporty. I ride it more than the Tiger, but it's mostly short distances. I've thought about upgrading the shocks, seat and adding a bigger windshield, but I'm afraid it would lose some of its charm. I am afraid I'd get bored with retirement. My target is 70, but that's dependent on my health staying good. I appreciate the comments, my friend. Take care, and ride safe.

Please offer my congratulations to Mrs Stoney on her retirement. Sounds like she had a great career and I’m sure the hospital will miss her. She could start a breakfast diner in Archdale because I can vouch for her excellent breakfast cooking skills. Our buddy Bill has no idea, since he’s never been over to your house for breakfast, but I can say she’s the best. You do have some great roads in NC. Thanks for sharing them with us. Ride safe, you working stiff.

Thank you, Douglas. I will be sure to let her know. Bill is still pouting over not being over for breakfast; I don't think he'll ever get over it, lol. As my dear old daddy once said, "son, you keep working. Us old folks are depending on your donations to social security so we don't miss getting our checks." Thanks for watching, buddy. Take care, and ride safe.

Hello, NC Stoney. It’s nice to view your blog I have heard George talk about you a lot in his blog. I am an independent but really a moderate Republican but NOT a Trump fan he doesn’t understand the world and Americas role in it plus I believe that he is unfit to be president. We need another Ronald Reagan he knew Americas place!!I I wouldn’t be voting again for president. The party needs to reclaim its true identity!! Enough talk of Politics. I just turned 62 and retired after working as a NY state prison guard for 35 years. I will still work part time not sure if I will start my social security or wait until 67. Decisions decisions ain’t that what life is all about. Well sir I enjoyed your video and have a good day and keep up the good work. Go Bills!!

@@ronaldcoleman3119 congratulations on your retirement. Being at the same job for 35 years is unheard of these days. I’ve been at my job for 32, but I’m not ready to retire. I appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment. Take care!

Being from the UK American politics is not my affair, so all I will say is..."lets make America great again"!! Nice ride Sir. Sold my Harley and brought a Triumph Bonneville T100, great bike. Thanks

I love those Bonnies! I hope to own a Bonneville one day, but that means I'd have to get rid of either my Tiger or my Sportster. That would be tough because I love them both. I appreciate you watching and the comments. Take care, my friend, and ride safe!

Stoney, I just retired this past June. just couldn't take it anymore. Lots of pressure and stress. I had 2 jobs , first job 20 yrs, second job 25 yrs. Each person has their own reason, you must position yourself as best as possible, try and have no debt, esp. house paid off. For me, doesn't rule out a part time job, like driving for one of the car rental companies, etc. Glad your back vlogging, nice ride and love the Sporty.

Congrats on retiring, my friend. I've been with my company for 32 years in December. I started at the bottom and worked my way up about as far as I can go, which is fine with me. We are all set for retirement financially, but I'm just not ready to stop working right now. I think my wife would smother me with a pillow in my sleep if I were home all the time, lol. I've considered selling my Sportster several times, but I just can't part with it. I appreciate the comments, buddy. Take care, and ride safe!
