Thank you, Daniel, you are such a natural teacher it is a real bummer you don't make it more often tutorials, your way of explaining things is just amazing and on another hand, your voice is calm and pleasant to listen to. I really hope you will one day find time to make in depth explanation of the sculpting process and everything you do when creating amazing artworks. Again thank you for sharing your knowledge. Cheers bud.

I would happily pay £20 for that tutorial if it were blender focused.

Daniel, as always, thanks for the great real world production-oriented tutorials. I love looking over the shoulder of experienced production artists! Hope you will be able to spare some time for others in the future. I was wondering whether you had tried a more automatic process e.g. with ZRemesher before going full manual workflow?

So far, I like it. It is a good one. I am working on the file you supplied and I noticed that the dialog box which appears in blender, at the left bottom corner of the viewport, after you do any action, is missing on this file. Dis you turned off any of the options?

Daniel in your experience, after doing retopology and sculpting details with the multires, for production is it better to keep the multires or to bake the displacement map?

Great series, nice to see, how you handle few tricks to get correct mesh! One question - the creature is Zbrush or Blender sculpt? Thank you

Extremely helpful and as always, I learn few things new from this tutorial. I am working on personal project. It's realistic human. I would like to know a thing. In the character, is it necessary to have all parts of mesh to be one object. (For Eg. In the Entire human character, can we make the hand nails as separate object). My doubt is will the intersection between two meshes create issues in render?
@ZTenski

You can seperate objects, and if you do it well it won't impact the render too much unless one of the objects is transparent, assuming your objects are perfectly aligned to prevent gaps and clipping in the render. Check out one of the many "beer" tutorials for blender, where they show how to put foam on the beer. You can see that often the technique is to copy the original geometry to make a perfectly fitting mesh "cap", and it looks just fine. Just make sure that if something is translucent or transparent, that there is no air in between meshes where there shouldn't be (ie between the nail and the finger, if your nail is translucent). In the tutorials I mentioned, most people intentionally clip the beer into the glass, thus eliminating the air between the glass and the beer and making the render more realistic.

Im very new to retopo. But i see you lost a lot of Detail. How do you get it back for lets say a Produktion render.
@danieleColomboChnl
3 жыл бұрын
You'll use a normal map and/or a displacement map (baked from the high poly)
@jokybones

@@danieleColomboChnl But dont you need way more subdevisions to make the displacement map work?
@danieleColomboChnl
3 жыл бұрын
@@jokybones you can add more subdivision at render time without changing the model, for example, even in blender in its subdivision modifier you can have different settings for your viewport and the final render, the same thing is true in every other "3d-related software"
