I appreciated the info about the weight - Important for install. :) Of course all fans are different so I don't know (Nor does anyone who is commenting!) if clockwise or counter-clockwise is the downdraft on this unit, but, personally I prefer a fan that circulates the air discreetly, rather than blows, so I'd probably be okay if that is a much breeze as it puts out.

I have one of these in all rooms. They are fantastic and work extremely well. The earlier models had led lights which glowed dimly when off. The newer ones have led lights which have resolved this problem. Replacement lights are readily available. These fans are inexpensive. The reason the fan is not moving the tissue paper might be because the blades are going / facing the wrong way. It’s sucking air upwards to the ceiling & creating a breeze up & outwards which is why your curtains are moving more than the tissue paper. I might be wrong here but that’s what I see.

Conventional ceiling fans have a Winter Summer setting. The Winter setting draws air up to the ceiling & the Summer setting directs the wind to the floor. Perhaps the setting(?) is for Winter? Cleaning the fan blades is more difficult than for a conventional ceiling fan because the blades retract when stopped. I would not recommend this type of fan.
