I genuinely have no memory of wearing my leather jacket at 1:25 but hey that's me on the right there. What a weekend! I am so unbelievably tired from the last four days of running around and driving like a maniac and we still have to unload some of our gubbins as I write out this comment.. It's a hell of a lot of work but it always works me up to see EVERYONE have a good time and enjoy our little gathering at RetroGaneCon every single year. Thank you again for coming, I know it's a super long trip and I really hope we make it worth it for you! -Dakota

Fun video, I showed it to my son so he could see where I went on the weekend. One thing I've learned is to hit Dave's booth up first because he usually has the best prices and the item you're looking for probably won't be there the second lap. Golden Game 160 in 1 is one of the best old school multi carts it not only has Wild Ball a Honey Peach strip game but it might have all of the Hwang Shinwei RCM Group games on it.

The device you were looking at for the SNES @ 7:42 is called the "Game Saver" and it was released by Naki. This device allowed you to create a save state for one game only. You would connect the SNES AC adaptor to the device and connect the patch cable to the SNES AC adaptor port. A codebook came with it. You find the game you want to play and enter the code so that the save state will work properly. There is a simultaneous button combination that you press to create the save state. The idea for the battery compartment is so that you can maintain the save state when the power to the SNES has been turned off. This was obviously an unlicensed product. I had one and it did not work well at all. However, it made a great Super Famicom adaptor.

One little oversight they made in the program and the signage is that none of it includes the hours that the con was open. I had to go to their website for the information. My only other negative is that I spent more time standing in lines than I spent on the floor. That includes the world’s slowest concessions line. But I did like the con overall. I liked the selection of craft vendors though a few more actual game vendors would be nice. A couple of the vendors were head scratchers that looked like they'd be a better fit at the church craft fair than a retro con. I loved the fact that con staff were visible and especially that security was visible on the floor. The staff were all very friendly and doing their best to keep the aforementioned queues moving. I really like that panel rooms are realitively easy to get to from the show floor (looking at you, Hartford) though placing the tables on a raised platform would be a welcome addition. I'd like to be able to see the presenters. And the panelists were great. In addition to the featured guests, they had a wonderful variety. Outside of Nolan North, my favorite panelists had to be a Strong Museum curator and a Syracuse University professor. (Those KZitem guys from Seattle were okay, too, I suppose.) More cons could benefit from that sort of "out of the box" thinking. I wouldn't make the trip again for just the con, but if you're even remotely local I can think of worse ways to spend a weekend. (Especially if one of the alternatives is to visit a traffic light.)

Whaaat? There's a gaming convention in Syracuse, NY? Why didn't you tell me? LOL!😂 I live in Rochester. I thought NY didn't do videogames conventions. How did you knew about this one? Anyway who made Explosive Diarrhea Pepto Bismol? Lol!😂 I'm happy because I found out 2 of the Game Craze stores are still open and I have bought like $3,000 in systems and games. Anyway thanks for showing your adventures at the convention for those of us that didn't go. Cool video John!👉😃👈

Seems crazy to me that Nintendo did _nothing_ for the 30th anniversary of StarFox. Not even a remastered port of SNES StarFox, goes to show that the franchise is not doing well at all. StarFox Zero seems to have been the nail in the coffin.

Somer Assault. A game that I wish was on the Wii U eShop Virtual Console before it all closed down (although I did get a bunch of other TB16 games digitally). It really makes me wish that Nintendo (and Konami since I think they currently own a lot of Hudson Soft's assets) would have a selection of TB16 games for their Nintendo Switch Online service.
