Thank you for comparing it to the 405M! It's my one and only emulation device. I nearly pulled the trigger on the RG Cube but decided not to. Then this came out and again I almost bought one. But seeing how much smaller the screen is compared to the 405m I'm less eager to drop $200. And I'm not in any rush to buy another handheld, I don't use my Anbernic enough. So either Anbernic will release a perfect successor to the 405m, or someone else will, or the price on the Pocket MINI will drop. I can sit back, relax, and try to actually use my 405m more! Thanks!

amazing review. this is my second time watching and i just subbed. i've been undecided the past week or so because of the screen to body ratio of the mini. i saw on reddit that 4:3 content on the 5 still has a better screen to body ratio than the mini which was really surprising to read. that being said the longer I think about it i'm sure i'm going to be picking up a black mini in the near future. playing 4:3 content on my retroid pocket flip is pretty much the same size screen as the mini and it's fine for me. i don't really mess around with too many widescreen hacks anyway. i'm still looking forward to comparisons with the 5 but at this point i'm mostly holding out to see how it performs with android 13, linux and the new retroid launcher. i've never done something like messing with bootloaders and what not for os installation so that will be a new process and i hope to see some good tutorials for that with the mini

I wish you turned on the screens of all handhelds (RG405M/RP4P for example) during the comparison section for a less-biased comparison. As many handhelds have deceiving black borders that make screens look bigger than they really are. The Mini lacks these deceiving black screen borders, putting it at an unfair disadvantage in comparisons against turned off handhelds. Besides that, I was floored by how incredibly in-depth your review was. Why are you not more popular?

Thanks for the thorough review ! This looks like the end-game 4:3 handheld I and many others were waiting for. Your video was very helpful. On the topic of glued buttons, the PSVITA 2000 also has this with all of its face buttons. However the buttons themselves have no specific shape to fit in the case and would be interchangeable if not for the membranes' shapes. It's very odd that Retroid would do this on top of the button-specific shapes, and it looks like a pretty sloppy job on top of it. I wonder how much this impacts the button feel.

Great review! Team Pocket 5 here lol. That battery test with GOW, it's not running smoothly at those settings, 12-17fps? I dunno! I'd probably test the battery if it was playing at full speed, but that's me. 42:58 The battery is impressive for lower end systems, 15.5 hours ain't a small feat, but 3h 47min for GOW at half the frame rate, I dunno what to think bout that lol. Love your benchmarks!

Hi! I have few questions about this processor and device. 1) Does the screen flicker if I reduce the screen brightness (my eyes hurt from the high brightness of OLED/AMOLED screens and from screen flickering). Ideally, show a comparison with a flickering screen :) 2) If you press the B and Y buttons with one finger, does your finger touch the stick? It worries me. 3) Is it possible to connect a microphone? 4) Is it possible to stream via Streamlabs while playing on Wii/PS2? 5) Please test the performance in the game Disaster Report (PS2)
