The BASIC programming on the SIDchips was sort of awkward with tonality, sort of half assed 12EDO with a table of approximations... Why not 31EDO or even just intonation?

Hi, kevtris. Recently, I started looking for a facebook group to buy, sell and trade chiptune hardware. I couldn't find one so I made one. The group is brand new, but it's growing. Please come and show your designs to our group. My intention is to expose musicians to new and interesting hardware sales and also give them a chance to trade out older custom designs. I'm sharing this video in the group right now. You can find us by searching facebook for "Chocolatchips Chiptune" and the full group name is "Chocolatchips Chiptune & Circuit Bent Hardware Trading Group". All are welcome!

This is utilizing two SID chips?

no, it's an FPGA simulation of 4 SID chips, with two analog filters external to the FPGA.

+kevtris it sounds really good! if it's simulation 4 chips, then it has 12 voice polyphony? strange, on that first track it sounds like it's stealing voices.

yes, the SID tunes it is playing were mostly made for 1 chip so it's only 3 channels. What it does in those cases is play the same thing through two chips, letting you enable/disable channels to do left/right/center output for each of the music's channel. Also the two filters are tuned slightly different so that it gives it a real interesting stereo ambiance. Stereo SID tunes play through two chips. All four was designed mainly for MIDI use.
