It's official, the Delaware & Hudson Alco RS-3s have returned to home rails!
D&H 4103 & 4118 made their official debut on 8/24/24 at the Saratoga Corinth & Hudson Railway, with there being a special ceremony taking place prior to the 11am train run, with both locomotives being named and Jack Raven receiving his locomotive engineer's certificate!
4103 was named "William Bibby" after everyone's friend & longtime D&H railroader Bill Bibby, who grew up watching these very same RS-3s run up and down the line, and 4118 being named "Remembrance" in dedication to the Men & Women that kept the D&H running.
This impromptu video puts together two different videos my father and I shot of the ceremony, making sure to get Hal's great speech, Bill's great stories & Jack's engineer certificate!
