i remember the first time of ever seeing one of your thatcher videos way back in the 2013 to now seeing you go back to your roots of the beginning of your career. Time really does fly by so quickly! this is so emotional to watch in such a good way seeing you grow and flourish is incredible

I always stop and watch the thatching process. I’m lucky to be surrounded by many thatch houses on outskirts of Canterbury. If I had my time again, I would of loved to have trained in this old craft.

Love to see a thatched roof & especially thatching in progress. There’s a flying pig on a thatched roof near me and I used to love looking at the fox chasing 2 hares on a roof in Wendover on my way to work. When I was young in a little village in Hampshire there was a witch on a thatched roof. Unf not far from me there was also an enormous spider but thankfully it’s gone now, was the stuff of nightmares esp with a good following shadow! ❤

I have to say Joe this feels like such a full circle moment. I used to spend hours watching your videos all those years ago. I loved all your gaming videos, i would wait all day at school to come home and watch them, I was obsessed with your channel, your sisters, Marcus, Alfie, etc. Seeing you now go back to where it all began is honestly emotional. Very proud of everything you’ve done and where you are now. This made my day❤️❤️❤️

I used to labour for your uncle about 17 years ago on my days off. It’s such a lovely way of life and a fantastic art. I still think about the days I helped him they were so interesting and a great laugh.

Brings back memories of when I lived in thatched house in East Kent. It was re-thatched in 1971 by Ernie Absolom, then a local thatcher to where we lived, who I think moved back to Hampshire several years later.

im so happy to see this.. at 12 years old i saw you thatching, i had never heard of it before as i live in canada. its so beautiful, its a form of art really. i wanted to become a thatcher when i saw and learned. sadly living in canada its not possible. i swore to myself if i move to the uk (which is my other dream from childhood) i would try out thatching. still want to 10 years later. love u joe
