i tend to ride 8-8.25" popsicles, but trending bigger, and 9"+ shapes. the big/shaped boards are just so much more fun to ride and feel better underfoot. the smaller boards are a bit easier to flip, but a smaller target to land on. i have 5 setups, i like to switch it up

lil egg looks fun, I got on with my 7.75 popsicle but every time I've bought a new deck I have gone bigger. I guess everything has it's pros and cons and you seem to transition between the two sizes pretty seamlessly.

Thanks Scott, yeah not much difference between the two boards except the width , am tempted to go wider in the future

you are a legend. you are proving that you are never too old to skate. and good job on going for wider boards now. i personally love wider boards. i even went up to a 9 recently. harder to flip, but such a joy to ride and shuvits + impossibles + ollieing gaps and stair sets are easier for me at least when riding a wider board.

Great skating sir. Always a tricky choice to size up or down.

@@SkateCrisis definitely easier to size up, going back down in size is a trip, at least visually, the 7.9 I’d been used to riding looked like a twig after skating the 8.5

39 and just had meniscus repair and acl reconstruction. How long did it take you to get back on the board. I ride the heroin 9.5 symmetrical egg and it my favorite shape and size by far. The bigger board feels more stable. You are killing it at 49 bro!

Hey thank you so much, I started pushing around at 12 weeks, popping and flipping by weeks 16-18, it’s not recommended and increases the chance of rupturing the ligaments but I do wear a knee support and try to stay in my comfort zone as much as possible, physio is also really important, I hope you make a full recovery
