Here it is folks, watch and enjoy! kzitem.info/news/bejne/uI-fsYCQfZZeZ34& This video is about similarity between two "Heroes" , or so to say , "Chosen ones are the broken ones" Also I've seen a lot of requests for Dread Masters and Thrawn video . Now Thrawn video has to wait till SW Rebels is finished , or at least his story arc , and I could combine it with Tarkin idk yet. But Dread Masters is a project I'll start working soon and will be ready in near future . If you have any requests or suggestions I'm open to take them , so keep them coming . All Luke talks about when he's "training" her is how amazing powerful and impressive she is and how it scares him. Yoda constantly admonishes Luke due to his lack of patience during his training. Snoke died like a chump in TLJ and Rey took down those Royal Guards with what I refuse to call training since it's no more than MAYBE 5 minutes of training before Luke gives up. During Luke's first fight with Vader he lost a hand. you apologists seem intent on defending Rey's overpoweredness by pointing to Luke's. Luke has failed multiple times during his adventure. Reason 5,637 Bioware should have left Revan alone. The explanation of him being corrupted by Vitiate is so narratively unsatisfying. Kreia's theories on his "fall" were so much more interesting. Still, great video as always.
@Cailus3542
7 жыл бұрын
Profane Historian I absolutely agree. It makes so much more sense for Revan, Malak and all the other Jedi to have been corrupted by war itself, to have gradually gone down that road and for Malachor to have been the final tipping point. I can't say I was overly impressed with how they sidelined Meetra, either. That woman damn near saved then rebuilt the entire Jedi Order, but she doesn't even warrant a codex entry in SWTOR or a mention of her name.
@Didact13
7 жыл бұрын
I think corrupted is the wrong word. The way Kreia phrased I, Revan gained an understanding as he explored the Sith ruins. He grew to understand that the Jedi weren't powerful enough to stop the True Sith. And in the end, his "fall" was a sacrifice. He wanted to conquer the galaxy to repair it, give it strength. Revan knew that the Jedi ways of passivity wouldn't work once the Republic was embroiled in war. But he also knew they would never take control, as it went against their teachings. I think Revan never really fell. I think he made a choice. One that no one understood until he lost everything he had been, and all he had done was taken apart by Malak's ambition.
@Cailus3542
7 жыл бұрын
Ah, yes, I know what you mean. I've always thought that was the key distinction between Revan and other Sith; he didn't fall. He jumped. At the same time, I'd argue it was the same basic cause. Revan bathed in the blood of millions amid constant, brutal warfare, which put him in a place where he could choose the Dark Side. He chose to strengthen the galaxy through the crucible of war. Heck, I honestly don't believe he ever actually meant to conquer the Republic; he just wanted to force it and the Jedi to gather the strength necessary to fight him and thereby be ready for the True Sith. In a way, in the context of SWTOR, you could even say he succeeded. The pre-KOTOR Jedi Order and Republic wouldn't have had a prayer against the Sith Empire,

(I’m not joking by the way, it’s an actual finding of genetic. Well, not with revan, but you can take about any people from Europe 1500 years ago for example, and granted you’re white and they had at least one descendant today, you are their descendant too. Which, yes, means that we are all descendants of royalty. For example, all whites are, amongst other things, descendants of Charlemagne. Actually true).

Revan was a man so overcome by his duty his selflessness that he was willing to betray everything he stood for in order to help others in the words of kreia “to believe in an ideal is to be willing to betray it” Vader was so overcome by his desires his selfishness that he betrayed those he loved. But in the end they were all too similar

My favorite character is Revan and his story. "Revan was power. It was like staring into the heart of the Force. Even then, you could see the Jedi he would slay etched on his soul." - Kreia

If I worked at Lucas Arts & had the chance to re cannon Revan I'd keep it simple Revan was a Jedi Knight who defied the Order after watching the Maldalorians cause destruction. Malak & countless Jedi Knights follow to help the Republic from its doom. Revan after the war WILLINGLY accepts the darkside of the force, knowing he'll need to be open minded to the force to be able to defend the galaxy. The Jedi & some republic forces that followed him then unite to take over the galaxy, Revan's purpose however is to bring peace to the galaxy & have it united after feeling a presence in the outer reaches of space.... I'd let the writers take it from their. The whole Star Wars: The Old Republic, thing about the Emperor turning him to the darkside, controlling him, & giving him the title of Darth Revan just takes away from his character. Revan is Revan for being balanced in the force, having again WILLINGLY accepted both sides of the Light & Dark. And for being the savior & conquer of the galaxy both times for a purpose he felt was crucial.

To be fair Revan did break free from Vitiates controll but he did chose to remain a sith so it was still his choice in the end. Then came the events on Kotor and that's when revan accepted both sides of the force. Then later he became unbalanced but only because he was tortured for 300 years by Vitiate and the Dread masters and he was even killed before he split. But despite all that torture Revan managed to save the republic fro the Empire when he convinced Vitiate that peace was in his best interest however all that torture and his death did completly tear him apart i the end and well we all saw what happened but i thought it was a good story. However i do wish that Revan would have been involved in Vitiates final death. After everything Vitiate did to him Revan deserved to be there when he was finally destoryed.

If I remember correctly Revan,s original goal when he returned was to fortify the galaxy against the true sith after he discovered them in deep space and he knew the government and the Jedi wouldn't do it so he did what he had to (I could be completely off but I'm fairly certain that was what he intended)

To fall is a subtle gradual thing, many fall but still call themselves Jedi. But when the descent is accepted and one knowingly falls that acceptance is what births the sith

I would only be fine with him going back to his family if he lost an eyeball and/or an arm and/or his force powers. Tries to cope with being messed up and disabled. I can only say this because he was kind of like Darth Vader when he chose to go face the Emperor, he didn't feel that Bastila or unborn Vaner had much of a chance against Vitiate. Very parallel to the time that Darth Vader looked at Luke, then the Emperor, then Luke again, then threw Palpatine to his death. He would take responsibility for what he helped cause and would even sacrifice himself, which he did, even superhumanly so.

In the old Expanded Universe, especially in the New Jedi Order and Legacy of the Force series, it was implied that Jaina Solo, the Sword of the Jedi, was the new Chosen One. Unfortunately, she never really did get to do anything with it before the EU was canceled by Disney. Sure, she killed her brother, but she didn't save the galaxy or change the galaxy in the way Anakin, Revan or even Luke did. Though it was implied in the Legacy comics that she and her husband Jagged Fel resurrected the Empire from the old Imperial Remnant and turned it into a Force for good to fight back against Darth Krayt.

@@lordrevan9788 it's definitely possible. In Legends, the Sith have their own "Chosen One," called the Sith'ari and there are multiple Sith'ari throughout their history, with Darth Bane being the most well known. So I think it's definitely possible for the Jedi to have multiple Chosen Ones.

This video was practically my younger years coming back to give me a hug- as soon as I finish this comment, I'm definitely replaying KOTOR for a bit. I digress- this video was stunning. The slight juxtaposition of Bastila talking and showing scenes of Anakin and Obi-Wan talking and showing Revan near the beginning was an incredible decision, one that showed the similarities between Revan and Anakin expertly; as well as the entirety of how they both saved the galaxy. Also, that dialogue from Bastila at the end... The utter feels.

In my personal head canon Shmi is part of Revan’s bloodline. It was Plagueis and Sidious who unlocked his potential. This way Anakin still fits the role of Chosen One, but it was only possible through his bloodline being diluted over generations. The two characters are very similar. It’s just that Anakin had too much respect to push back at the same capacity as Revan. If Qui-Gon lived Anakin would never turn.

Revan’s story is so crazy in comparison to any of the original trilogy characters. Basically he was like Luke...then became like Yoda...then became like Vader....then had all his memories wiped away...and then became Luke again...to then become Yoda again...and then 300 years of isolation and confinement...then becomes Luke again...then becomes a spiritual entity...then finally dies...🤯

One thing that the new Star Wars canon can do (if they ever decide to do a series on the Old Republic) is rewrite the story of Revan. I preferred Kreia's theories as to why Revan fell to the dark side rather than the explanation we got in SWTOR. It felt more compelling to me.
