DIY Friends! I just wanted to take a moment to reiterate how thankful I am for all of you sticking with me for three weeks on this project 💜 I know it’s not ideal to make a project into a 3- parter but I wanted to make sure I could show all the ups and downs and what It takes to really create a project on the scale, by yourself. Don’t even get me started on doing it yourself and also filming it haha 😂 Your support has meant the world Xo I love this community so much. Grateful for all of you! 💜

This is beautiful, Dani! Yes, I would love to see how you organize your new space. I’m so incredibly impressed with what you accomplish in your videos! You were able to share more info and detail that way.🌸

A quick tip for painting when you don't want to tape of is get a really stiff piece of cardboard that is comfortable to use and then wrap it in cling wrap. You place it up up against the wall and just go. If it gets paint build up you wipe it off. It takes a little bit of practice but it really helps.

I like that you don't skip over the troublesome things that tend to get in the way and cause me to lose momentum on any project. I lived (for 36 years) in an old house , built in 1910. Dressers always had “lifts” on the front legs…even the Christmas tree always had wedges under the stand. No, I never liked it, but you live with it. There are all sorts of quirks found in old houses - like finding out your bedroom light is on the same breaker as the freezer in the utility room! That was a huge project you did, but it really is beautiful! Great job!

Looks amazing!!! One trick I learned with wallpaper is to paint the wall a similar colour to the main one in your wallpaper. Especially when it’s a dark wallpaper. That way, if you end up with a tiny gap between the seams, you don’t have a white line down the wall. Well done on such a breathtaking makeover. I always learn so much from you ❤

I love it! Danie, you've done so mush work! All these teeny tiny details, that borrows but should be done, they make a difference of perception. In small work is huge impact. Women power! In my opinion I would make the bottom part (box for vent) either narrower in comparison to dresser depth or has fake fronts as actual dresser. In first example, the dresser could be deeper, bottom part could be painted in color of walls or darker as well as the baseboard under it. It could have front legs, fluted shapes, turned wood, golden metal etc. In case of fake fronts the baseboard should be dark blue. Handles to the fake fronts - yes. Vent cover - maybe its possible to drill a bunch of holes in plywood facade (in some pretty order) and do not use this cover at all. I am obsessed with your wallpaper! By the way in Ukraine its typical to glue real wallpaper, not peel-and-stick one. I use dry glue that diluted with water, it is very handy!

Daniel, your always out doing yourself, every project has its twist and turns, but you strive and overcome. Unlevel floors and funky corners are all part of the experience. Try to embrace them as there part and parcel of an old beautiful house. Carictor is worth it's weight in gold. Concrete floors and walls have no warmth or carictor, they may well be square and plum and it may well be easier to make more squares to fit in them, but would that really make you happy. Every job, diy you have done to improve your beautiful home has a wonderful story to go with it, all adding to the history of the house for many more years to come. I Love each and every story you've let us share in. It's a journey in time and a making of something that will add to a story in the future too. 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗

Amazing transformation. What I like: the wallpaper makes the space; The wood counter top is the perfect touch between the blue cabinets and the blue wallpaper; the great work you did cleaning up and fixing the walls; the two mirrors; the gold/brass accents and drawer pulls. That's pretty much everything, isn't it? The one thing I would change is the sconces. They seem too "nautical" for this beautiful paper. I would like you to find some pretty feminine ones. Think it would be the cherry on top. Another great job. Truly a pro.
