@andyb3522

@@juniper150 I do somewhat disagree with incitement of violence being against the law. People are responsible for their own actions. If a person can be simply talked into taking somebodies life, then they probably shouldnt be out in society in the first place, they are unsafe. In every case of violent crime, the person who committed the crime should be held accountable. Plus theres just too much room for the misuse of speech laws by purposefully and disingenuously interpreting somebodies motives as incitement. That being said, there are other legitimate forms of coercion, that in part involve speech, but I think there should be more than JUST speech as a requirement for prosecution. Blackmail, Threats, etc though this still does not justify attempting to take a persons life, the only legitimate reason to take a life is to defend yourself (or loved one) against somebody trying to take your life (or your loved ones life)
@juniper150

@andyb3522
25 күн бұрын
@@juniper150 Yeah, I know, you are right, I said I SOMEWHAT disagree with it, not that it was wrong to limit in some cases. Everything should be addressed case by case though, rather than there being any vague blanket rules like "all incitement to violence is a crime". There should be a reasonable expectation that the person listening to what I say, can make their own decisions, I shouldnt be expected to assume that another person cant take control of their own actions. Though of course you could definitely make a legitimate argument that this doesnt apply to children or those who are obviously mentailly impaired. But in those cases I couild also argue that their parent/ guardian should be taking reasonable measures to prevent that kind of thing being a problem. in the end, it is very difficult to blame your actions somebody elses words, not impossible in ALL cases, but certainly very difficult. In cases such as a person reacting violently to a threat, I would argue that a violent self defence in response to a person making a threat that can be reasonably assumed will be carried out, is acceptable, and the person who made the threat was responsible for the defenders action, or at least responsible for any harm they received as a result. Anyway I didnt mean to rant.

How about they guy sentenced to 18 months for sating 'Coming to a town near you'? This has nothing to do with appropriate punishment. Starmer is using this to cover his real target, which is to censor conservative thought and hinder his opposition.

Now you know the real reason for the online safety bill. Not protecting children is it? It is to give the government legal instruments to silence any criticism any opposition. Smoke and mirrors

The BBC blamed the wrong side for targeting a hospital during an active conflict which would have insited a massive reaction. Under these laws they are excluded from action against them because the term "Recognised New Agencies" are exempt. Should they be?

If a group of a British lads took a holiday on the French coast I'm pretty sure they could stop any illegal departures. Especially if they were paid millions as the French police are.

Can't you tell that James doesn't like it when it's one of the leftovers facing criminal charges for something they've said on social media, it's all just liable when they make inflammatory tweet, having said that, I also hope Mr. Robinson also takes him for liability as well.

Isn't Kier starmer doing the same with his voice unfairly as these mild verbal criminals by telling judges to give extreme punishment to mild crime when severe criminals are getting off lightly. He is unequally using his voice unfairly in opposition. He seems to still have freedom to speak unfairly.

Inciting hatred against Tommy Robinson is what it is,, because they made a false claim against him to get him into serious trouble,, so the guy who lied about Tommy why would he do that he wanted harm to come to Tommy Robinson. So he should be jailed for Inciting Hatred against Tommy.

Social media literally shows you how many times posts have been viewed and liked. Other media does not do that. The _dislike_ figures should also be shown, though.
