The dad is and the mom is West African, so traditionally he is a Gĩkũyũ man because he belongs to his father's clan. I guess his father did not teach his culture to him.

@@Habibtay My friend Gikuyu is and was a matriachal community, hence the clans in womens names and hence the saying mother tongue . So for the sakw of modern times he is both West African and Gikuyu but traditionally he is west African .

@@Habibtay Also remember during the Agikuyu and Mumbi, the men who married his nine daughters lived with the Agikuyu and Mumbi, It is a modern concept even to take the mans last name .Hio si Traditional original Gikuyu

Where is the authentic audio, the speeches, the native music? The photographer is good but the essence of the wedding is lost by not playing the original soundtrack, those are memorable and what make each wedding special and unique. All other countries are proud of their individual ethinc languages, let's not be brainwashed..We need to hear the ethnic original soundtrack, the parents speaking their native language and traditional dances, the native spoken blessings....the essence of the wedding is lost, let kikiyu be heard, let's not be politically bullied that we can't hear our language at our functions..all other groups in Kenya speak their languages why not us.
