I would add consistently using “buy now, pay later” options to buy things. One time usage here and there is fine and making sure you can pay the monthly fee, but having multiple ones, the cost will add up! And it’ll cost you more if you miss a payment.

Absolutely! I talked about this in another video and I’m still in awe of how many open installments people will have. Most of the time it isn’t because they necessarily need it but it’s the convenience of being able to pay off the balance over time versus upfront. That’s why budgeting is so important!

Hey friends! Thanks for tuning in for today’s video. Toxic money traits can really set you back financially if you don’t address them. Which toxic money trait resonates with you the most?

It's a mindset on how you look at others. Either you allow it to encourage you or let it bring you down. Best way to look at others is if she can do it so can i.... Go girl

Absolutely! Some people aren’t that head strong unfortunately. I don’t ever want someone to look at me and become envious to the point they are being putting themselves in a negative position. Instead I only hope to motivate others to push themselves to their highest potential. 💜✨

Emotional spending was my toxic money trait. Budgeting & changing my mindset have saved me in several ways. I’m grateful for that 🎉 ❤ Great video‼️ needed to be reminded where I came from. No turning back only 🆙 from here 😊

Man #2 got me good. I bought an Audi and that thing I swear breaks down every 4 months. Such a money pit I should’ve never gotten into! I’m saving to outright purchase a Subaru or Honda- cheaper and more reliable.

i have been guilty of all once in a while, my biggest bad habit is my sinking funds are never enough to cover my emergencies, such as i had to get 4 new tires, over 800 and my freezer lid cracked, 250 so on a no spend weekend i spent over 1,000 there goes my budget and my credit card right back to the rescue. i dont have to keep up with the jones, carma appears to have them keeping up with me, hhahahhaha!!!
@ohshebudgets

That’s so funny 😂😂 Trust me when I say I understand about the sinking funds. Sometimes it just isn’t enough money to go around. I prioritize emergency fund over sinking funds personally because I never know how much I’ll be able to contribute to them and haven’t been able to commit to a fixed amount monthly or biweekly.

My toxic money trait is not investing but I will open my Roth IRA by the end of the year if not before.

I need to do better myself. I opened my Roth IRA, invested some fund, then stopped. I need to take advantage of the time for myself and my children especially. Now I just need to find a comfortable number within my budget to make it happen. 🥺

Yes please start back contributing to it especially while you are still young and can let that compound interest work for you. I want to max mine out every year. Even if it's $25 a month to start back with and work your way up from there. Have an amazing week friend!

Great video!💜 Out of the 6, I'd say instant gratification is mine. I should definitely be further along with my journey, but I'm not as strict with my budget as I could be.
@ohshebudgets

I don’t think having a strict budget is good for anyone so I’ll never encourage it. Truthfully we could all be a little further along with some minor adjustments but it’s a marathon not a sprint. I’m positive you are doing just fine 💜✨
