Hi Gary. Your latest installment is, as always very impressive! I have just moved house and whilst unpacking the man- cave boxes I have discovered Eduard's 1/48 scale hellcat that we both started so long ago. The new man-cave is well... a double room all for models and I have found the urge to complete the hellcat. Just wondering if you were EVER going to re-kindle your fire for this lovely kit? Go on.... you know you want to, just think of how that exposed engine bay will look!!!! Keep up the great work chap, you are an inspiration to so many. Kindest regards, Rich.

Thank you for the reply. I know that you had high hopes for detailing the engine bay etc and the way you went about the cockpit was epic to say the least. Aye, summat like that! I have some favourites from my previous life as a model builder as a youth and young lad, and I'll be getting to of them as time goes by. Did the Spit, Mustang and the Typhoon in 72nd, but the Fw 190 D-9 is a new kit for me. It's probably the most detailed kit I have ever tackled (in those days models were not very detailed and there was no such thing as aftermarket) so I'm really looking forward to starting it (with a wee bit of trepidation, too hehehe) as soon as I have finished updating my workbench. There are a Stuka, a P40, a Beaufighter and a Hurricane on the list, too. Not to mention some favourite jets of mine: Skyhawk, Seahawk, Fiat G91, Phantom and a Jaguar. The list goes on.... Good thing I'm now retired!

Gary, I picked one up through Spru Brothers on sale for $88 U.S. free shipping. For 1/32nd it should have a Napier. Eduard decals, some so-so P.E. and resin, excellent fuse and wing detail. But not worth regular MSRP $100+ U.S. Trumpeter 1/32nd models are that range, not Special Hobby 1/32nd. Oh wait , that's right, it's MPM plastic for Special Hobby. So that could be special

Often, these montage-type videos are determined by the length of the track. Occasionally, I've been known to lengthen or shorten a piece if its bar structure would accommodate that. Alas, this one did not. :) (Also, I lost a few of the WIP pictures, so whew!!!)

No, I get that - totally! I typically edit to the beat of the music as well and there have been a few vids where, due to the pace of the music, the images are not really on-screen long enough and it makes for a very rushed affair. One saving grace was that I accidentally lost a lot of the WiP pics (my bad) so I didn't really have a lot to show anyway. :)

Of late, Al, very little. A kit has to appeal to me now in every way imaginable. I look at the rows of boxes at shows and nothing takes my fancy. Perhaps a new highly-detailed kit might tempt me, but it has to be a subject close to my heart. Or if it's free! :P
