My stock motorcycle has 40,000 kilometers on it and is leaking oil between the cylinder and the engine block. This video saved me, as it teaches how to replace the cylinder gasket and assemble everything back together.

Great that you show this. Some may think you're giving away trade secrets, but a lot of people will look at this and pay for it to be done. 10:09 In the S&S 865 kit instructions it says they are Wiseco part # 9000XX which has a gas nitrided stainless steel top ring, phosphate coated cast iron second ring, nitride coated stainless steel oil ring (info from S&S and Wiseco sites). My dealer/installer used one of that part number and one of different/inferior materials (because the S&S kit came with an incorrect ring!). Yet to see the result of that, but bike runs terribly and has an oil leak right from when I got it back from the installation.

Great video! I am no mechanic, but I will try to follow the instructions for washing, drying, and then pre-oiling the 865 cc block which will save me some pretty coin. Just curious... where do you stand on the great break-in period conventional versus synthetic oil debate? Thank you! MS

No debate that engine gets full synthetic.

Hey Will do you happen to have the end gaps specs for the S&S high compression 650 version of the kit. My top ring is tight when fitting in the cyclinder as you 've done in the video, needs to be shaved a little .

Interceptor 650. I travel full time and got tired of always having to stop and clean, lube, and adjust the chain. Bandidos Pitstop had a belt drive conversion which I bought and have over 20,0000 maintenance free miles on. I was promoting them but found out they are no longer selling it. Would you consider making a belt drive conversion kit?

We've considered it. It's not an inexpensive thing to develop. What did you pay for yours?
