Putting South Dakota on my do not go there list right now. I looked on this app where we can see where the weight stations are and you are right there are a lot of them in South Dakota all over. Which are all probably portable weight stations.

It's B.S. how DOT sets them portables.. I was on US 400 east of witchita,KS can't remember name of town but local cops were pulling over trucks an checking paperwork an logbook.

Yeah, I don’t like them portable scales at all buddy. And I think those local cops should stay away from semi trucks completely.. doors are the true revenue collectors in my opinion. Why does he care anything about semi trucks if we are just passing through their shitty ass town. But I guess that is how they get their money for their towns and stuff. I have also been pulled over by a commercial vehicle inspection officer from a small town in Texas one time. They also have those small town officers that pull semi trucks over in Pennsylvania as well. Revenue collection at its finest my friend.

Use dishwashing liquid like Dawn on your fifth wheel and trailer slides. Keeps it clean and doesn’t collect dirt and grime like grease does.

I wish you well on reefer loads I’ve done it for 35 years you will need to relax at wal marts and other food stores your looking at 2 to 6 hours in dock NEVER get a load to jewel in melrose park Illinois it’s the worst try and get all 1 or 2 items on back of reefer cause all will be counted and temp check good luck

We really are buddy. We are paying taxes on all of this money that we are making and then again every time we buy something we have to pay taxes on that as well. If you buy property, you have to keep paying taxes on that for the rest of your life. How unfair is that.

I have not been pulled over or bothered since I have had this truck about a year and a half now. I always try to keep it clean, and they leave me alone. I am very excited about the reefer buddy.

Usually it is 55 mph on smaller roads. on interstate average speed is about 70 miles an hour. Some states like California only allow semi trucks to go 55 miles an hour but then some states have speed limits of 85 miles an hour.

That is the stupidest thing that they do. They do that a lot in Illinois and in Indiana. And then they act surprised when one of them gets killed out there by a speeding driver who’s not paying attention. I am fine with them putting themselves in but why are you trying to put us in danger. Missouri passed the law prohibiting semi trucks getting pulled over on the shoulder to get the inspection done. So now they do it on exit ramps and in rest areas.

Had a log truck in front of me on a 2 lane road and a short log came out of the bottom of his log bunk i got on the brakes and I was lucky it rolled off to the right ditch. Saw him stopped at a little handy mart I pulled and went in and told him about and he just acted like it was no big deal so I told him what a dumbass he was and that why he was stuck in that piece of crap log truck he was driving

What's the significance between the trailer you're pulling and the Refer? Is it because you'll be hauling refrigerated items?

With this new trailer, I will be able to haul produce like fruits and vegetables.. I will be able to haul fresh meat and also a lot of frozen food. Also milk, eggs, and cheese. And I will also be able to haul a lot of the stuff that I was able to haul on my other trailer as well. Which is a plus. I have a lot more options with this new trailer than I did with my old one.

@OTRBandit not sure where you live at in Missouri but ya might could get a run to lubbock or clovis and grab cheese going back to Missouri those rates were pretty decent not long ago also Stephenville tx sends loads back to Missouri and a town north of Amarillo sends cheese.

When I was driving I was taught to set the trailer brakes then pull forward to put tensions on the fifth wheel lock and then set the parking brake. They will never be able to pull pin.

By the way love your channel, drove for 15 years pulling a reefer before the CDL came out. Miss it sometimes but I would hate it now with all the steering wheel holders and drivers who can’t speak and read English.
