A trick that my mentor taught me and that I use profusely, is to compress the reverb only in mid channel using the voice itself as the side chain input. That way, while singing the voice sounds clearer in the mid channel, but without losing the feeling of reverb on sides. Sorry for my English, I hope you get the idea. 😅

Yeah, lots of cool things you can do! Also so many ways to accomplish similar desired outcomes, too.

I mainly work with organic, orchestral music. My trick is to use two reverbs, one for a room-studio sound, something with a short time and something that will help glue sounds and samples together. The second reverb is mainly for tail where I use a Hall reverb, and I put an eq before the reverb in the send channel where I cut off the highs and lows... It's called the Abbey Road Reverb trick. Helps makes the reverb a lot clearer.

Can you do a mixing and mastering episode that includes the basic of voice and guitar volume levels? I keep on seen different info in volume level for voice. Some people say -12 and some other -18. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I like the de-esser trick. I do not like any of the other tricks, they lead to slop and smearing.

Do you have a video for harmonies or dub chorus overlays but specifically in stereo field? I'm using Doubler2 and disabling the middle channel for now, but there has to be a more advanced option
