When I still checked the amp and all I see is a sloppy repair job, and that is where it doesn't get any sound from the projector. Too many resistors was installed in the unit, so it needs to have a better rebuilt. Needs new capacitors, resistors and orange drops capacitors to replace the bumblebee capacitors. the amp is a 5-tube amplifier that goes into the projector. I can't find any schematics online, and when I checked Google, and I can't find any schematics online. Is there any help?

Cool! I order this projector on eBay today, but I might be doing a video of this sometime soon to show you my new projector. I have to get rid of my Singer Graflex Instaload 16, because it eats film and the supply reel got spit out while running it.

Hello Liagouras. Was looking for a neat video about this projector and yours is the best that shows how it works fine. I got myself one today and very excited to have it working. Just have some issues with frame jitter. The two sprockets bite the film well and all runs smoothly. Have rolled the film around all the rolls sale way as in your video. What do yo do to make it look on the wall without frame jitter and jumping? Cant seem to find a way. Can you please help? Thank you

What can I do when my revere 16mm projector has shaking images that are going slightly up and down.

My sound just hums, there’s no power to the exciter lamp socket and the panel doesn’t light up. When I hotwire the exciter lamp to a six volt battery, still only loud hum from the speaker. Difficult to figure out how to get into the amp compartment even after I dissasembled the bottom. So, I’ve got issues.

I'm trying to figure out the reel capacity of this machine. Does the lower take-up arm extend further forward? I can't quite imagine it being able to accommodate feature-length 1600 or 2000-foot reels otherwise. By the way, that's an excellent condition Cinecolor print too!

Jeff, These machines can accommodate a feature-length film but you have to attach the extra arm (seen in the opening photos in the side compartment) to the base of the projector. It has two screw holes and easily screws in place. Once you place the spring belt on the sprocket it's ready to go. The only thing you have to remember is to move the projector to the edge of the table so the larger reel has clearance to hang over the front. Yea I agree that's an excellent print!

I agree with @@MichaelSmith-js5wq. The upper arm doesn't need an extra arm... Its can hold full feature reels

Just come across this video. I love it. I just bought one of these recently and the sound isn't working. I'm pretty sure the tubes and capacitors need replaced. I'll need to find a service manual so I can get mine up to par. It looks like your restoration went great. Was it difficult to get parts?
@Musicradio77Network

This is because of the exciter lamp being blown. But it needs to be replaced. I check the amp section and everything looks okay, but I don’t see any capacitors and resistors being short. I checked underneath and it looks fine. Except some dude stuffed a dropping resistor inside. But that’s why it needs to go. The rest has 5 tubes and it has an All-American Five tube amplifier set.

I've got the same issue. I wish I had a copy of your service manual, I'd like to fix mine. I can't seem to locate one on line. Did your projector come with the manual or did you obtain it somewhere?

I check the main amplifier once again, and I found that the 12AX7 tube is completely shot. That’s why the amp is not warming up while running the projector with 16mm sound film. It should run fine without sound using a silent 16mm film. I ordered another 12AX7 tube to replaced the old one, and it’s a Groove Tubes 12AX7 tube by Fender. They’re still making 12AX7 tubes today for guitar amplifiers.

When I checked it last night when I first got it, the amp looks okay, but when I checked it, the exciter lamp is dead, but I can’t get any sound on there. So it needs a replacement.

Finally got a manual and have already discovered a broken wire and loose rectifier while opening it up to replace the tubes. With that fixed it now has a hum when the volume is turned on, where as before I had no sound. Hopefully once I get the new tubes in, it will work. If so, I may try to post a video. The rest of it works great and it's a joy to watch it in operation. You just can't beat that film clicking sound these things make. It's real nostalgia for those of us old enough to remember the days when these things were king.

I got the same model off of eBay today, and it has the same problem as before. The projector works and runs perfectly, except the amp isn’t running, and no sound at all. I also the exciter lamp cover when I unscrewed and I checked it, and the exciter lamp is completely dead. But it needs to be replaced, and when I checked the amp, it has an All American Five tube chassis, and I don’t have a problem with that, and I checked underneath, all of the capacitors and resistors are okay, nothing’s wrong with it, except I found a big dropping resistor which was fell off from the unit. Not sure where it came from, but I’ll check. If one of the tubes didn’t warmed up, one of them needs to replace.

And just to give you an update. I checked that the exciter lamp got blown after I got it, but it needs to be replaced. The exciter lamp section goes to the main amplifier.
