It makes a fair lump detector and it does an ok job as a signal generator. I wouldn't waste my money on it. Save up and get Tiny SA instead.

You have got to be a burned out (i.e., retired) broadcast engineer with all the Moseley, Orban, and other radio stuff you have accumulated and lovingly worked on. You're making me all misty and nostalgic remembering highs and lows of the one of my careers keeping AM and FM stations on the air. Gosh... I'll bet you just might even know how to tune up an RCA Ampliphase transmitter from scratch. Great channel.

WOW! How old do you think I am? Well, OK, I guess I am old enough to have touched one of those. Almost 30 years in broadcast. Some of them as chief for 3 stations, 2 FMs and an AM. My oldest transmitter is a BTA500. Sadly the last thing I did to it was take out all the oil caps and retire it to the 'look at me' corner of the old transmitter building next to the 4 tower phasor. I can do transmitters but my real love is studio equipment. I have built several facilities over the years and finally retired in 2021 (they still have my phone number so retired might be stretching it a bit) Thanks for watching.
