i glad my vid helped and also glad you found a deal on a unit. also sounds like your 9 year old 5ah battery has some physical defects that caused it to not benafit which happens i have only run into 1 battery so far out of 16 i have run my unit on that did not benafit(cause it had a terminal post broke inside battery).

i ran this desulfator unit on the battery in my 7 year old booster pack that would never hold a charge over 20% and voltage read 4.2 volts.i didn't think it would work but it is now reading 12.5v and says 85% after 3 days trickle charging with the desulfator connected. i think your booster is not even close to being totally gone and there is a chance to save it if you can get ahold of one of these units.i have been told it will work on 95% of all 12v batteries made.

Recently I bough this desulfator and it WORKS. I was able to revive a 200 Amps heavy sulfated battery that was showing only 2 volts. The battery was left to be discarded some 2 years ago. After applying the desultory and automatic charger for some 2-3 weeks it works properly. It saved me over 100 euros for getting a new battery.

you can find where to get the same unit i reviewed in this video by clicking on (more info) in the discription. they are about $40-50 including shipping well worth the investment if you own more then 1 thing that uses a 12v battery.

hello sir i just wanted to highlight that voltage doesnt mean anything,, voltage doesnt tell you anything about the capasity to hold charge. a full voltage only tells you that the battery is full but it could be full but lost all capasity.. you need to test with a load tester... i have a few of these things and i heard you need to leave it at least for 2 weeks on each and now am trying and havent seen good results yet ... thanx

@yamaha69x it basically disolves the sulfer buildup that has formed on the plates back into the fluid.

the first battery i did was for my YFZ450 quad and after the vid i put the battery back in it and it fired up easyer then it ever has even at this time of year being 15-20 deg Ferenhight.i also went out last night and tried it fired up pretty quick.i checked the voltage with a ohm meter and it still read 12.75v.befor using the desulfator i couldn't get it to charge over 10.??v. Thanks for the comment Dave,if you have any other ideas on how i can test this i will and let you know the results.

Please forgive my ignorance . I'm not certain about the difference between these Infinitum Desulfators and the standard 'trickle charge' units such as Optimax / Optimate as used for motorcycles . I've been advised to leave my Optimax unit on my Triumph for a couple of days and it does the same job . In fairness the Optimax costs about £50 ( $70 ? ) and 'tops up' the charge as and when required . Is the unit shown just an Optimax by another name ?

these units are not chargers they are to be used with a charger or directly connected for as long as you like to your battery in your car or bike.with the fact that it is not a charger it is not restricted to a 2amp tickle charge like most units i have seen that are charger/desulfator combo units.i have also seen some of the cobo units out there say they can only be used with bikes.the infinitum units can be used an all 12volt lead acid batteries and some of the other 12volt styte batteries.

SASWEET DEAL! where did you get the infinitum desulfator at? Is that one of the better ones. I am going to get a little one do you think it ll work.
@KyleCarrington

agreed. You can buy a constant curren / constant voltage module from ebay/china, relatively cheap. Set it for 14.8V, and 150 mA and slow charge it. Manually. Especially those SLA's. Everyonce in a while bump that up to 15V.

@polariskid95 i have used this on a few batteries that i thought were dead and have given them life once again.what you would need to do is have the battery tested to make sure it is able to take a slight charge.it don't have to hold the charge it just has to accept it.then you hook a desulfator to the battery and let it trickle charge for about 2-3 weeks testing it every few days to see if the voltage on the battery is increasing when it isn't on the charger.

Don't be fooled by static battery voltage (battery under no load). Batteries should be tested with a load present (i.e. cranking an engine over). This unit just sends very quick discharge pulses to try and knock some of the sulfur off of the internal cell plates. AGM (gel packs) really only last correctly about 4 years.

@armygta4 The links I posted in the discription of this video is where you get the units from they are really good guys and shipping is actually pretty quick concidering they are sent from malasia. Either link can be used they are both the same company and same prices.

hmm its is simple to use a small dc motor parralel while ur charging ......its done well with my solar battery no need for a desulfator and its fast 3 gays to 6 days no more sulfur deposit on the plate ...it gives a high negative reverse spike voltage that can drive away the deposit

i got an email last night from the company that makes the Desulfator unit explaining the process to verify that there unit works like dicribed.i have added it to the discription to this video so others can be informed. i myself only did basic tests to make my review, and i will do a follow up video soon using there testing process.

Amazing I didn't believe it'll revive my 1 year old discharged car battery just now try 2amp charge and it show 143 cca but then I've attached infinitum and iam planing to buy a car battery 100 amp if it's not revived then after only 2 hrs it showed 547 cca out of 760 so I kept it on charge will test it tomorrow but this won't work with gel type it killed my previous car battery

But from my experience it won't work for battery more than 2 years old unless it's connected to the battery on your car or use smart multistage car charger otherwise no luck

If your batteries are crapping out that fast in the first place, may be that you're charging it too fast and too much? Hook that little 4AH baby to a full size car charger for several hours, and I'll bet you're overcharging it, and hydrolyzing much of the water in the electrolyte. Also, I agree the final test would be to test your recovered batteries under load.

@armygta4 Check all your wirering cuz if it is getting burnt in one spot it may be grounding out on something which would cause your battery to die fast.

This crap don't work. I tried it on 10 or more batteries. they would charge 12.9 to 13.2 volts but would not start anything. Hook up a car head light and it would be dead in 2 to 15 minutes.
