In todays video we continue with the Losi Mini-B review series with a test to get more speed from the stock electronics by replacing the stock mini-b 47T motor with a 28T Venom Fireball motor! These Venom Fireball motors were a popular upgrade for the Associated Electronics RC18 series of cars and trucks. The Venom Fireball is discontinued but might be found out there on ebay and other sellers.
So what happened? The Fireball at the stock 18T pinion gearing was a mistake. The motor got cooking hot after a 5 minute practice. This motor needs to be geared with a smaller pinion such as a 13T or a 14T but the stock motor amount is not very adjustable. Next video will have the sliding motor mount so the gearing can be easily changed.
