Hey man !!! good morning !! I'm having a problem connecting the Mission expression pedal. The problem is with the connector cable that I already bought two with the TRS specification but they didn't work. It only works if the plug is not fully inserted into the Jack. Do you have any specific cable that you can point me to a site or store for me to buy? I'm in Japan! the expression pedal is a Mission Engineering… EP1 Thank you!

Yeah that’s my problem. I can do it with my Kemper and EP1 pedal but the EP1 don’t work like that in the quad cortex. Basically sweep 1 is wah, sweep two is whammy. Can the SP1 do both?

Hi Ian, couldn't find your Temple Audio board build video? I just screwed the Mission pedal feet back on through my Duo 24 and it worked a treat, perhaps you did the same?

Hey Bernie, will be putting the Temple Audio Board build video up next week. I used the Pedal Riser plate from mission audio, cost a bit more but worked really well. Nice hack on screwing through the board.

@@ianrussellmarshall Hi Ian, thanks for your reply. I saw the riser when ordering the pedal but wondered if it was necessary. What do you feel is the advantage of using the riser? As I mentioned, I found just screwing the feet back on through the TA Board provides a really rock solid solution. I guess the feet could perish overtime as they don't have metal washers, but just wondering why you feel the riser is particularly advantageous? I love the way the T A Pedal Board surface holes perfectly align with the pedal's dimensions allowing for solid quick attachment.
@ianrussellmarshall
2 жыл бұрын
@@bernie_smith no worries Bernie, I think the main advantage you get from using the pedal riser is that you get a completely flat surface to attach the pedals to the temple audio board using the Quickdraw system. I think this is the main benefit. I wanted to use the quick draws to allow easy access to take the pedals off if needed. If you do go down the quick draw system, I used four medium sized quick draws to hold the expression pedal to the TA board.

Implementation of external pedals is bad on Quad Cortex. Why can't we use 2 of these pedals? I don't think the pedal is worth its money. But this is more a problem of Neural not of Mission. I have sent my pedal back

Hey Mr Timewindx, sorry to hear you’ve not had a good time with it. I found it absolutely flawless, works perfectly fine for me and the things that I do. Can you use the one expression pedal for volume and wah using the switch as toggle?
@ianrussellmarshall
Жыл бұрын
No, I do think you can. It’s the assignment settings within the effects is where the issue lies. Once you have connected the expression pedal then have to assign the features of this to the effect. Toggling between two doesn’t work. But you could get around it by creating a scene with one that incorporates the volume and other scene with wah in The same preset.

@@ianrussellmarshall On FB I found this in a thread in QC group: "add a gain block for volume control and assign the expression pedal to the Gain control (or Volume, Level, whatever it's actually labeled as). make sure the max range is 50% since that's 0 dB, anything over 50% will boost the signal. go into the wah block and assign the same expression pedal to the Wah control now assign the toe switch to control the Bypass states of both the gain block AND the wah block and make sure only one is active. pressing the toe switch should flip the bypass states and whichever one is active is the effect you'll get" I asked: "This is how you use one exp pedal for volume or wah with the switch as toggle? Is this working in scene and stomp mode?" The reply: "...it should work in any mode. I don’t use it myself because I have a dedicated wah. The Gain block is meant for volume control, but yeah I do think it should be named Volume or something more obvious." I don't own a QC or SP1, so I can't test this.
