I really appreciate your videos and reviews. I'm a beginner and an RTR guy right now but I think with all the information you give on kits and set ups I will be more confident in moving to kits and higher end products. This is a dad and daughter hobby for me so anything that provides more time for us to play around with driving and working on the cars is just awesome. Keep up the great work and you definitely have a fan and subscriber.

GeauxBobby . I bought them both. lo.l Each has its ups and downs. The 7r has more quality and durability then the dex8. They drive pretty close to the same. little more planted in rear with the 7r. Little more steering stable on landing with the dex8. I really like the layout of the dex8, absolutely hate the sway bar mounts tho. I will stick with the mugen, but the durango is a solid kit.
@bobby693

+Jimmy Bray I got the dex8 and it was.. key word was a blast ha! 2 center diffs and rear diff bit the dust in two races. I really like the buggy, very smooth until you take a hard hit, gear mesh never stays put. Using the strength perspective: Having a blast in the hobby and got pretty good wrenching on it!

For the pillow ball caps I put a couple layers of shrink tube about 3mm from the tip of the allen wrench that way I can push the cap inward while threading it in. Took me a couple tries to figure it out, but if you do that and wind them backwards until they click you won't ever cross thread them

I reckon the kyosho mp9 is the best handling buggy on low to medium grip tracks in smooth and rough conditions, winning hands down over the mugen. The mugen is however better on high grip as it is more stable due to its stiffer chassis, and also you can change the caster throughout the suspension movement with pillow balls, meanning you can have less caster for more aggressive turn in, into a corner, then the caster increases as the car rolls and becomes smoother and more stable through a corner on high grip, the mugen is a hard car to get dialed in on rough, loose and bumpy tracks

I'm tired of buying a kit, along with a bunch of extra parts to support racing. Then two years later the company's comes out with a new car and I cant get support parts for what ever two year old car I have. So I guess every two years Ill have to drop a grand to keep racing. Looks like the Mugen will be my next racing investment, thanx for the review your videos are great.

Michael Berry then never get a Xray, they update yearly. Most 2-4 years but those are just chassis upgrades, easily applied to first release. Hence MXBX7 then MBX7R update.

I have no experience with racing at all and I'm still fairly new to the RC world ( only own a Stampede 4x4 vxl). hey Jason, Dude I am torn on what kit to buy next!!?? If you remember me or not I have been commenting on your videos a lot lately do to a couple different reasons. One I am a KZitem fanatic second I just got into rc racing and rc's in general and bought a B5m do partially to your video and your champion B5m video. You are right about getting al kinds of extra stuff in that kit!! of course they first part I ever broke was last week in practice was of course a part i did not get two of in the kit."The rear shock tower" Anyway this is getting long winded! I dont know if I should go 10th scale 4wd or 8th scale!? And also what brand to go with! So lets say I go 10th scale cause there are less people in that class and I will be able to learn faster/better cause i will not be getting ran over and in peoples way as much. I love the Team stuff but also like the Hot bodies 4wd bug. Or should I go XRAY? Thanks man for any guidance you can give! And I promise i will not hold you accountable for any decision I make!!! lol

I'm coming back to rc again as I've moved and live 5 min from an rc-track. I've hade Nitro cars, a TD DNX408 and a Kyosho MP9 TKi3 but I don't think I'll have time for one again and I don't know if I can or I can store the fuel as I live in an apartment. So I was thinking of making a D815E but it'll cost a bit, looking for feedback if it's worth it or not? Or should I go Nitro again or go for the likes of a Mugen Seiki MBX7R Eco or the X-ray XB8E?
