Really nice, versatile tractor. I used to drive one at my uncles farm a number of years ago, but that one had 4wd, cab and a frontloader. That's how most of them are here in Sweden.

Wow, it's crazy the differences between it and my TL 90. I figured they were more of the same. I have the 24x12 trans, and it does 22 mph going down the road. On the other hand, I like your lever setup a lot better. Mine has an Iveco engine, not sure if yours is the same. I does sip the fuel though! It's impressive how many hours I get out of a tank. Thanks for sharing man!

Jeff Reymond says they still had the Genesis family of engines yet.

Always wondered what the story was behind that tractor.

One thought about the fuel cap, could it be replaced with an oil fill cap like what's on a big Cummins engine? They squeeze a rubber seal that expands. Not sure what your T9 has for an oil fill cap. If you still want tire ballast after replacing the tires, maybe look into Rim Guard. Made from beet juice and its advertised to handle temperatures down to minus 20 or minus 30...don't remember what spec off hand. It really is a handy utility tractor...small enough for maneuvering but large enough for some heavier work. I wonder if the clutch packs are going, like you mentioned. And here I thought my Massey 1655 was slow at 16 mph...13 is a turtle on steroids. I did run a Versatile 835 that only went 14...and a 700 that blazed along at 15 mph. But a Versatile 145 moved around 24 mph..but couldn't retain that speed due to tire hop. It would bounce you off the road.

A cap like that could work... not sure how it would seal with the threads in the tank, unless having a thick seal on the top part of the tank too to help prevent leakage. I forget if it could have larger tires on it too, especially if it had FWD... probably would go a bit faster down the road. Luckily it doesn't have to travel long distances much, if any at all.

2nd owner of a ts90. Has cab an loader with 6500 hrs. I hate where dip stick is when loader is on. Other then that have no complaints. Been maintaince free

yea I could see that dipstick being in a bad spot... same thing on my newer TS6 tractor, would be a pain with a loader on it.

Seventeen years, four thousand hours you'll be an old man by the time that tractor wears out.
