My review of the 4100 Manitowoc. Definitely one of my favorite cranes. Sorry if I left something out...this is my first review so I probably need some experience to get better.
This is an excellent model of the Manitowoc 4100 crane from TWH!

Yeah it is. Nice details and very operational. Smooth winches with nice brakes. Metal tracks with the chain drive is very cool. Excellent model.

Nice...I bet it looks fantastic! And with the short boom, it should take a nice load.I don't see too many 4100s that they make it a heavy lifter. Most, like mine have an extension kit. They don't come with enough counterweights to lift very much. Mine is very unstable when I lower the boom.

@@lvdrums Thanks! It’s with 30 inches full length boom and in 15-20degree boom inclination it suits best to lift some heavy loads but it is preferable mostly for its detailed looks and lasting

MANI 4100 are mainly used in ports , barges, bridge construction and piling works and often in power houses to lift small transformers or deploying of steam drums!

Weiss Brothers are best to collect these TWH cranes as they are very perfect in dealing and they are designer of these MANI models

@@lvdrums if you want to load more heavier then can go to ringer version of MANI 4100 It’s pricey too

Your model of the 4100 crane looks great with the boom extension with jib. I have my Manitowoc 4100 crane model rigged as a dragline, & I think works & looks good in that arrangement.

I've seen a few like that too. The dragline works well too. What a great model this is with a lot of variety in how you display it. Mine came with all the attachments but I like the lifters more than the dirt movers. Excellent model!

How is the difficulty of the reeving for the hook block? Is it hard to do the pendent lines? The reason why I ask is because even though the Manitowoc 4100 cranes seem easy but the pendent lines can be a challenge. I like that particular crane but for me, I don’t like the clamshell, dragline, or magnet version. Where I live, there’s one just like that model but it has a white jib and it works at the port.

Hi Michael, The hook block reeving is easy since it only has 1 pulley. Reeving multiple pulleys takes a bit more. Check out my reeving videos...there's several to help with preparing the hook. The pendants come ready to install but you may need to swap them side to side if one has slack. Plus there's a few extra to help out so no worries. I'm with you on crawlers, they look so cool with a jib. Jib kits for the 4100 are readily available on ebay. The 4100 ringer boom is the same as the the 4100 boom so if you see a 4100 ringer jib extension kit it fits. And I'm always available for help doing these. Hit me up anytime here in the comments section and if I need to I'll shoot a video showing you how to do whatever it is you have a problem with. The 4100 is a beauty and a very nice functionable model. You'll love it!

Reeving is very simple and it’s a very detailed crane in all! I was too confused before buying but found it’s very easy with strong ropes to hold If you don’t like the clamshell dragline version go for Heavy lifter or tower then !

I just bought and assembled the 4100 in Sarens color scheme think it looks fantastic. My question is I finally strong the main hook block but how do you do the whip line? Normally the whip line hangs out further than the main line but on this it runs right next to the mail line. To me it looks like they would tangle

Never mind I just found a video of it on here and it does just run along next to the main line . I would think that wouldn't work being so close together but I'm a newbie on these crane models.😁

Hi Brian. Since I have the jib kit I had to check the instructions to check that. It doesn't show a whip line but I assume you attached the little sheave attachment on and that will be close. Did you reeve the main hook on the first set of sheaves on the main boom or did you use them to guide the wire up to the attachment? It will still be pretty tight fit but may give you just enough if you reeve the main hook on the first set of sheaves and the whip from the boom attachment.

Hey collected the MANI 4100 red! I think it’s most detailed and rugged of all I collected! 360 degree rotation of car body with load is very smooth without any vibration or rolling tracks are nice to move and unbreakable Now will collect the jib part! Thanks for the video

Yeah it's got real nice detail. Even the boom sections are internally braced and the detail on the boom tip is awesome! I noticed that too....very smooth operation. Including the winches and tracks. And how about the chain drive...so cool.

@@lvdrums yes it’s better than lr1300 also in details if you look it in a real engineered model and we prefer this 4100 in INDIA very much for its versatility mainly in ports and constructing works! In this model Cab details driving tools are accurate which is not so in others

@@variavnath624I agree with that. The 1300 is good for construction purposes. There's one out here in Goodyear Arizona that's been on 4 jobsites mostly doing tilt-ups. The 4100 is way more versatile. Awesome crane!

@@lvdrums yes MANI 4100 is awesome as Lr 1300 reeving ropes are also not so smooth like 4100. Lr1300 panels can be opened but no details of engine but 4100 has a real engine details in it with nice embraced booms
