Nice and honest review. I still need to play the original, don’t own a switch but can borrow one. Which version would you recommend?

New one! It's just so much prettier. If you don't have nostalgia for the original, definitely play this one!

You had me thinking about the phrase a bed of roses. I now wonder if a bed of roses at first sounds nice, until you realize it has thorns in it. I wonder if every culture has a similar warning phrase? Greeks- The Midas Touch Germanic folklore- Hansel and Gretel, beware of the house made out of Candy. Disney Sleeping Beauty, invite Maleficent into the kids life on your terms or suffer the consequences. Gilded Cage- I'm not sure. Paul was on house arrest in the Bible, so it's been a thing at least that long since the Roman Empire. Tangled- Beware of the Oedipal mother who protects you from all harm. Again, the Greeks with Oedipal. Hawaii- The term "Island Fever". Basically it's nice to live there a week or two, but increasingly becomes bad as time goes on. Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. I'm sure there's a Twilight Zone episode specifically on this where a guy realizes he's in Hell because he gets all he wants. Mongolian curse- May you never change. Sounds good at first, becomes bad. Man, it's odd the stuff English teachers think about. Enjoy the day bro.

You too! Thanks for this list lol I hadn't put all those together, and I honestly didn't know what the Mongolian curse meant. I'd heard it, but didn't realize it. I've heard bible lessons about the concept of a bed of roses too!

Wouldn’t a bed of roses actually be insanely painful…
