A quick video reviewing the Givi Monokey system with detailed installation instructions for the 2003-2008 SV650 and the Givi V46 top case.
The Givi Monokey system is made up of the following components:
1) The Monokey top case (e.g., Givi V46, Givi E55, etc). Top cases are UNIVERSAL.
2) The Monokey mounting plate (Givi M5). The Monokey top case snaps directly onto the Monokey mounting plate. The Monokey mounting plate is UNIVERSAL.
3) The arms to mount the Monokey plate onto the motorcycle. The arms are BIKE-SPECIFIC. For the 03-08 SV650, the part number is Givi FZ529. The mounting points are the rear seat grab rail, the exhaust mount and the passenger left foot peg mount.

The following components are needed ONLY if you want to mount Givi Monokey saddlebags:
4) The arms to mount the saddlebags to the motorcycle. The arms are BIKE-SPECIFIC. For the 03-08 SV650 the part number is GIVI PL529. The mounting points are the FZ529 arms, the exhaust mount and the passenger left foot peg mount. There is also a cross bar which goes through the stock fender. I have the fender eliminator so I will attempt to make it work without the cross bar. I will do another review in the future once I get my Givi Monokey saddlebags (most likely the E21s).

Note:
If you are using a Monorack top case, you need the Monorack adapter which mounts onto the Monokey mounting plate. The Monorack system is designed for shorter commutes whereas the Monokey system is designed for longer tours.

Edit: Givi came out with a new mounting system known as PLX/PLXR. These are used to mount the new hard side cases e.g., V35. I found this out the hard way when I bought V35 cases that don't fit my side arms!
