Ah yes. The struggle with feet. I felt that a little bit. 😂 That aside, this is exactly what I needed! Thank you so much, Skyen! My pentab has been with me for six years and it's been acting a little problematic lately. I think he needs his rest. Your drawings are adorable and watching you draw is quite relaxing. I wouldn't mind watching you create more artwork in future videos, to be honest!

I got Artisul D16 last year on black friday and I'm super happy with it. This was my first tablet as well. I started learning digital art on my own and it really helps with the quarantine lol. My only complain for this tablet would probably be its weight. It's pretty heavy, so don't expect to move it that much.

I am in the minority if the top comments are anything to go by but I AM an artist and I was so fucking happy to see this because I was planning on getting myself a new tablet as an xmas gift to myself but I didn't want to break the bank with a fucking wacom. So I'm definitely gonna check out the Gaomon you recommended, it's so amazingly cheaper and I like what I saw here. Thanks for this Skyen. I'm also looking forward to seeing more of your speedpaints, really enjoyed the Nico Robin fanart you just did.

Loved the review! Funny how I was looking at this stuff a few days ago and the algorithm straight up recs this video lol On the other hand, I know you mainly focus on talking about character design and visual storytelling in terms of games and League, but do you think you would ever talk more about those in anime/manga? I really enjoyed your earlier videos talking about One Punch and BHA, and would really enjoy seeing your take on some of the bigger names out there.

Hey Skyen, how much difference does it make to draw on a tablet with a screen vs. a screenless one? Of course drawing on a screen must be better but is drawing while looking at the monitor not recommendable in some way?

It's up to your preference mostly, but using a screen tablet can have ergonomic benefits depending on your needs and setup.

Honestly these tablets have all the things that I have with my old Cintiq! The stand is similar to that of the Artisul. And I also have the problem of the pen not being very accurate with the mouse in the corners of the screen. So next time, if my Cintiq ever dies, I'm definitely gonna buy a cheaper brand!

I'm subscribed to quite a few art KZitemrs so you wouldn't believe how confused I was when I finally realized YOU uploaded this review after having seen it in my feed like a dozen times lmao I wish the screen tablet market wasn't so limited, I'm constantly living in the fear that my Cintiq (13HD) is gonna die after all these years, and when that day does come it's gonna leave me having to replace my tablet with either A) another tablet by Wacom that's either really, truly piss-poorly made or stuuupid expensive (all while feeding the Wacom monopoly), or B) a tablet from another company that won't feel as good to use and won't have decent color display... MY POINT BEING that this video was very insightful and useful, thank you Mr Skyen

Yeah, similar. I was checking out reviews a long while back, so it's kind of nice to see this popping up here. Probably pick up a tablet rather than a more straightforward PC upgrade in the future. Just kind of wish prices would come down a bit more or that it was relevant to my work so I'd be a bit more eager to make the purchase. Though now I'm wondering if the old iPad I got from my brother might make for a decent starting point before spending more on a dedicated device.

Been a while since I checked out some of these tablets. Digital art is something that I've been thinking about getting into, but there's a fairly steep price associated with even picking up some of the cheaper hardware. A someone who would only be starting out as something of a hobbyist, the ones without an actual screen are a temping consideration due to their lower cost, but coming from traditional "pen and paper" I can only imagine that it's fully worth spending the extra money to have the display. I'll probably keep these brands in mind when it comes time to "upgrade" my computer and just put the money into a tablet rather upgrading RAM or something.

It's a shame that there is all that white washing related to Nico Robin, as far as I understand was a problem with the animation, with Oda always intended her to be white, but the studio made her not, later changing again to the original interpretation of the author... I personally find the character much more interesting as a poc...
