Nice one ,ate. I run on oval on the HT as well... And I like it. I've used a heap of different brands and haven't really noticed a difference in longevity and chain retention though. I have just fitted a Wolf-Tooth drop stop to the enduro, so we'll see how that goes... :D Nice vid as usual mate!

Great review. The Wolftooth chainring on my Cutthroat went almost 5000 miles before I had to replace it. Also, they make an attachment for torque wrenches to allow you to use them on that setup. Honestly, as long as it is good and snug with an adjustable wrench, you are good.

I have been running the WT oval ring on my 1x11 hardtail with RaceFace cranks and Shimano DT. Immediately I linked how it made sit and spin climbing feel smoother and better, but standing up and grinding up techy sections it looses its leverage. This didn’t translate well at all on my SS and I hated how I felt like I lost power while standing and pedaling which as you know is a big part of SS riding. Just my thoughts.

Hello. nice little video. would you choose WT oval chainring or AB oval chainring. what is bette for Singlespeeder like us. I wanna know which is better , because AB oval are more oval. so, what is your opinion?

I like the Wolf Tooth better. AB was fine when I had one, but the WT seems to be wearing more slowly as a single speed.

Looks like a well made bit of kit.

For not being able to torque it; use a crowfoot (clocked at 90degree to the wrench to avoid any extra math).

It looks like the WT oval shape is less severe than the AB.
