In 2023, the One NZ Warriors were one win away from a NRL Grand Final berth.
That result brought with it greater expectations the following year as the Auckland-based club went from being the usual write-offs by some pundits, to being hyped up like never before.
But in a season where coach Andrew Webster had the addition of Kurt Capewell strengthen the forward pack, plus the return of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Chanel Harris-Tavita adding further playmaking weapons, 2024 was not their year.
Failing to qualify for the top eight, the Wahs have already wrapped up their campaign with a bye in the final round - finishing with a win-draw-loss record of 9-1-14.
This week on Running It Straight, co-hosts Sam Hewat and Anthony Gelling review the failed season, before being joined by 'The Warriorholic' to put a microscope on the club's prospects.
