I carry small outfits to places like auctions to shorten steel to fit my trailer. You can always use larger cylinders interchangeably by using any of the many CGA fitting adapters, and you can use LP for cutting with an LP tip. The torch is a Harris injector style (all relevant patents are long expired) so many aftermarket and Harris tips will fit. Lincoln bought into the torch business in 1990 when it bought Harris from Emerson Electric so you're getting a design proven longer than anyone reading this has been alive.

I saw an instructor video who said to turn off he has a rule...A then O. Where is the definitive rule on how to turn it off? What do certification schools teach?

Most of them teach the way I do it; but once you get on a job, the teaching goes out the window.

About how much burn time do you got with those little tanks I'm looking at a set like that to keep around the house for small projects but I want to make sure I can get through the project without having to go get another set of tanks

For brazing and light welding how much time do you have in this compact set. Maybe 1 or 2 hours of use. Thank you.

As a fabricator. These bottles a way too small. If you are forging or using your torch at lot. Not worth the size. And remember when you fill then at a weld shop they swap your new bottles. At least as mine supplier If you are a homeowner go for it.

My husband is a fabricator and we decided to start our own little business which the things he’s making doesn’t require a ton of torch work plus he has a plasma cutter too and multiple saws (chop band and some other one) anyway I tried calling local welding supply shops and the tanks are super expensive so that’s why we considered this kit. Do you have any suggestions on how to get decent size tanks for a diy torch kit without spending $$$$?

I AM BUYING ONE OF THESE KITS AND MY SOLUTION TO IT ALL IS SIMPLE: BUY FULL 125 CU/FT OXYGEN AND 80CU/FT ACETYLENE AND PLACE THEM IN A SAFE SHED AT YOUR HOUSE SECURED. THEN USE A TRANSFER HOSE TO FILL YOUR KIT FROM THE LARGER CYLINDERS WHEN NEEDED. THIS WAY, YOU SAVE TRIPS TO THE GAS SUPPLIER. PLUS, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS RENT THE LARGE CYLINDERS ANYWAYS. THEY DONT CHARGE YOU UNTIL YOU BRING THEM BACK, WHICH COULD BE MONTHS TO YEARS.@@iflores8907
